Mineral water"Obukhovskaya" has low mineralization of 1.8-2.4 g/liter and contains a large amount of organic substances. Doctors recommend drinking water directly near the source, since during transportation the water loses its healing properties.

Obukhovskaya mineral water is regularly checked by the sanitary and epidemiological service, a full chemical analysis is done once a month, and once a year it is sent for a full detailed study to Yekaterinburg.

Mineral water "Obukhovskaya" affects metabolism, water-salt balance, promotes tissue restoration, has an antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and diuretic effect.

At the first appointment, the doctor describes a regimen for taking mineral water, depending on the disease. The minimum recommended course is 14 days, the optimal is 21 days. With a 21-day course of mineral water taken orally, its diuretic and choleretic effects are manifested, which leads to cleansing of the urinary and biliary tract.

Properties of mineral water "Obukhovskaya"

Under the leadership of the head of the department, member of the Academy of Technological Sciences Russian Federation, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor V.N. Zhuravleva, the doctors of the sanatorium performed a number of scientific and practical works. On the basis of the department, they are trained in methods of diagnosis and treatment of urological patients. Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor L.A. Kozlova, having studied the properties of Obukhovskaya water, confirmed its high therapeutic effect on patients with chronic diseases of the liver and biliary tract.

Invaluable assistance to “Obukhovsky” was provided by the head of the department of the Ural State Medical Academy, laureate of the USSR State Prize, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor V.A. Kozlov. With his help, advisory assistance and training for doctors of the sanatorium were organized on the basis of the city clinical hospital No. 27 of Sverdlovsk (now the city clinical hospital No. 1 of Yekaterinburg).

Significant creative work on the study of the properties of Obukhov mineral water and organizational work to create a polyclinic base for the sanatorium was carried out by the chief physician of the Medical Scientific Center for Prevention and Health Protection of Workers industrial enterprises, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Yu.V. Kochergin.

With the support of the Sverdlovsk City Department of Urology and with the personal participation of its head, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor V.I. Miroshnichenko, the health resort is conducting research to substantiate new methods of treating diseases genitourinary system.

Which I talked about the other day is located in the village of Obukhovskoye. About two and a half thousand people live in it; it stands, like Kamyshlov, on the Pyshma River. The village is famous for the presence of a mineral water deposit (Obukhov mineral waters) and a sanatorium, which was built on the occasion of this deposit.

Mineral water

In my opinion, Obukhovskaya mineral water is one of the best. It is slightly mineralized (1.8-2.4 g/l), quenches thirst well, and has a pleasant taste. True, if you drink it directly at the source, the aroma and taste will be different; in particular, you will feel characteristic hydrogen sulfide notes in the aroma. Bottled water tastes better and can be called table water. It is sold in carbonated form, bottled at different fields and by different companies. One of the most famous is Obukhovskaya-11. A 1.5-liter bottle of this water costs about 20-23 rubles in Obukhovo and Kamyshlov. In addition, variants Obukhovskaya-1, -10, -12, -13, -14 are produced (by different companies).

Obukhovskaya water can be bought not only in Kamyshlov and Obukhovo, but also in Yekaterinburg; Moreover, this water is one of the most popular mineral waters in the Sverdlovsk region. However, it does not reach Moscow: obviously, production volumes are more modest than in the cases of Narzan and Essentuki.

Deposits of Obukhov mineral water, by the way, were discovered a very long time ago: at the beginning of the 19th century. Soon after this, a sanatorium was built near them; Later, the water began to be sold in bottled form. Its full “chemical” name is sodium bicarbonate-chloride. We must remember that real medicinal properties water has only immediately after flowing from the source; There is no point in treating yourself with carbonated water from bottles.

Sanatorium

The first sanatorium was built near the Obukhov mineral waters deposit back in 1858. After the revolution, it was nationalized and turned into a holiday home. During the war it became a hospital, and after the war it became a rest home again. Then, in 1978 - a boarding house; only in 1997 was it finally renamed a sanatorium. In the 2000s, the sanatorium was greatly modernized: many new buildings were built, the territory was landscaped and expanded.

Background information:

  • Official website: http://www.obukhovskiy.ru
  • Telephone: Ekaterinburg - +7 343 376-59-60.
  • Treatment profiles: treatment and prevention of diabetes mellitus, kidney and urinary tract diseases, diseases gastrointestinal tract, skin diseases, mineral metabolism disorders.
  • Rest/treatment prices: from 32 thousand rubles for a place in a double room (including treatment, for 14 days).

Village Obukhovo

Obukhovo is located between the sanatorium and Kamyshlov. The building is predominantly one-story, but there are also two-story houses. On the territory of the village there is a post office, a Sberbank branch, several stores (grocery and household goods), car services, a medical center, a dental clinic, a hairdresser, kindergarten, school and cafe-snack. In a word, the village is not small, with good infrastructure. However, this is not without reason: the fact is that the Siberian Highway passes through Obukhovo; and also in the fact that the city and the sanatorium are nearby.

There are no special attractions in Obukhovo - despite the fact that the village was founded back in 1680. True, some houses look as if they were built before the revolution - at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries. Yes, and there is also the Church of Simeon of Verkhoturye, built in 1912, then closed and rebuilt under Soviet rule. It was reopened only in 2003.

Not far from Obukhovo there are forests in which live not only trees (mainly pine trees), but also mushrooms (boletus, boletus, boletus, russula, volushka), berries (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries) and various animals (hares, foxes, roe deer , moose, hedgehogs).

Pyshma

This is the name of the river on which Obukhovo stands. The river is small and non-navigable, quite shallow (there are very few places where the depth exceeds 1.5 meters - except on the beach). The banks are overgrown with willow and/or nettles in many places.

Bus traffic

There are buses (mostly PAZs) from Kamyshlov to Obukhovo and the sanatorium. The schedule is posted at every stop, but is not followed. They say that this year there are significantly fewer buses - due to the fact that minibuses (Gazelles) have almost all been cancelled.

How to get there

From Yekaterinburg - by bus (about 320 rubles) or by train to Kamyshlov (about 130 rubles) and from there by bus (about 20 rubles). Or by car along the Siberian Highway to approximately 132 kilometers from Yekaterinburg in the direction of Tyumen (sanatorium) and 133-135 kilometers (Obukhovo itself).

Time to visit

If you are going to the Obukhovsky sanatorium, then you will have plenty of time for the visit, and you will have time to thoroughly explore the village itself, as well as the city of Kamyshlov and its surroundings. If you are just passing through Obukhovo, then in an hour you can leisurely walk around the territory of the sanatorium and then just drive/walk through the village itself.

The invention relates to medicine, namely to balneology, ophthalmology, urology, nephrology, and is intended for the correction of metabolic disorders in patients with diabetes. Patients with diabetic microangiopathy are examined: a general blood count, blood sugar, a general urinalysis, an ultrasound examination of the kidneys with determination of renal blood flow indicators (Vmax, Vmin, S/D, PI, RI), basic ophthalmological parameters (visual acuity, visual field, examination of the fundus vessels). Further, in the conditions of a sanatorium, oral administration is prescribed directly from the source of low-mineralized hydrocarbonate-chloride-sodium mineral water "Obukhovskaya". Water is taken heated to a temperature of 37°C at the rate of 3 ml per 1 kg of body weight 3 times a day 40 minutes before meals, for a course of 18 days. The use of the invention makes it possible to normalize a general blood count, blood sugar, a general urine test, as well as improve the condition of the visual analyzer and renal blood flow indicators. 1 ave.

The invention relates to medicine, namely to physiotherapy (balneology), ophthalmology, urology, and is intended for the treatment of diabetic microangiopathy.

There is a known method for treating various diseases with drinking mineral waters in patients (RF patent for invention No. 2076713) and can be used in the treatment of gastritis with decreased or increased secretory function, chronic colitis, cholecystitis, disease of the operated stomach, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, pancreatitis , chronic hepatitis, pyelonephritis, chronic adnexitis, prostatitis without exacerbation, as well as in diseases of the central nervous system(CNS), hypertension, coronary heart disease (CHD), pulmonary tuberculosis without exacerbation, metabolic disease ( diabetes mellitus, oxaluria, obesity). Patients are prescribed the natural mineral bischofite, diluted in distilled water in various ratios (1:38,600; 1:38 - 58; 1:59 - 230; 1:231 - 460; 1:461 - 600). The disadvantage of this method is the need for laboratory manipulations with the active agent (dilution of bischofite in various concentrations), the availability of data on the effects of the proposed treatment method (diuretic, choleretic and disinfectant) in the absence of information on the pathogenetic effect on the underlying disease.

There is a known method for preventing the progression of impaired glucose tolerance using Essentuki type mineral waters (RF patent for invention No. 2162697), which consists in taking Essentuki mineral water N 4 in a dose of 200 ml 15-20 minutes before meals for 30 days . The method allows you to normalize the glycemic curve, increase the early phase of insulin secretion, and improve lipid metabolism. This increases the effectiveness of disease prevention. Despite its effectiveness, the method has a highly specialized preventive focus and does not characterize the effect on vascular changes in patients with diabetes.

There is a known method of prevention and treatment with mineral water (RF patent for invention No. 2235547), which consists in using a natural sludge solution isolated from freshwater medicinal sapropels, which in its characteristics belongs to hydrocarbonate sodium-magnesium-calcium, as medicinal drinking mineral water. weakly mineralized solutions. The solution is obtained by dehydrating and enriching medicinal sapropel from a humidity of 97-93% to a humidity of 80 to 60% using the method of gravitational-hydraulic action, with a mineralization of the natural sludge solution of at least 0.33 g/dm 3 . As a mineral table water, a single dose of consumption is recommended 100-200 ml 3-4 times a day for a course of 21-28 days. As table water or a mineral refreshing drink, a single dose of consumption is recommended up to 250 ml or up to 1.5 l for up to 30 days. The disadvantage of this method is the complex process of preparing the dosage form, the lack of data on specific nosologies and the lack of data on complex balneotherapy.

The closest method to the claimed one is a method for correcting metabolic disorders in patients with diabetes mellitus (RF Patent for Invention No. 2157692). The method is intended for the treatment of metabolic disorders in patients with diabetes mellitus through sanatorium-resort treatment, including taking ascorutin in a dose of 100 mg three times a day along with taking 200 ml of Essentuki mineral water N 4 20-30 minutes before meals against the background of diet therapy ( table 9, 9a), sugar-lowering drugs (insulin and/or sulfonylurea) according to indications, carbon dioxide-mineral baths per course - 10 procedures over 30 days. The method allows you to improve carbohydrate, protein, water-salt metabolism, lipid peroxidation indicators. Despite the high results of the known method of treating patients with diabetes mellitus, this method lacks data on the dynamics of ophthalmological parameters, despite the fact that the organ of vision is one of the most susceptible anatomical structures of the body to the effects of metabolic disorders in diabetes mellitus. Reliable data on the influence of the proposed treatment regimen rather than the general complex of balneological factors are not presented.

The need to further improve methods of combined treatment of diabetic microangiopathy is urgent.

The technical result of the invention is to improve the condition of the excretory system and the organ of vision in patients suffering from microangiopathy due to diabetes mellitus, which helps improve kidney function and ophthalmological parameters (visual acuity, visual fields, condition of retinal vessels).

A method is claimed for correcting metabolic disorders in patients with diabetes mellitus by carrying out complex spa treatment, including the intake of carbon dioxide bicarbonate sodium chloride mineral water, characterized in that patients with diabetic microangiopathy are examined: a general blood test, blood sugar, a general urinalysis, and a study of indicators renal blood flow: Vmax, Vmin, S/D, PI, RI, main ophthalmological parameters: visual acuity, visual field, condition of the fundus vessels, and oral administration is prescribed directly from the source of low-mineralized bicarbonate-chloride-sodium mineral water "Obukhovskaya", water taken heated to a temperature of 37°C at the rate of 3 ml per 1 kg of body weight 3 times a day 40 minutes before meals, for a course of 18 days, on the 8th and 14th days of stay in the sanatorium a control examination is carried out.

The significant differences of the claimed method are:

1) The use of hydrocarbonate-chloride-sodium mineral water "Obukhovskaya" in the treatment of diabetic microangiopathy, ensuring the normalization of general urine analysis and Nichiporenko analysis, blood sugar.

2) Improvement of the state of the visual analyzer: visual acuity, indicators, improvement of visual fields in patients with diabetic retinal angiopathy after treatment with hydrocarbonate-chloride-sodium mineral water "Obukhovskaya" in the conditions of the sanatorium "Obukhovsky".

3) Improving renal hemodynamic parameters: increasing maximum systolic and diastolic blood flow velocity (Vmax, Vmin), and decreasing the resistance index (RI) at the level of peripheral vessels.

The advantage of the claimed method is the use of Obukhovskaya mineral water, which has the following characteristics:

Organoleptic properties: odorless, colorless. Transparent.

The basic chemical composition of Obukhovskaya mineral water is described by the following formula:

CI78 HCO 3 21SO 4 1

From org. up to 0.010 M 1.97 (Na+K) more than 95 Ca 3 Mg 2

Research on the quality and composition of Obukhovskaya mineral water has been carried out for many years at the Ekaterinburg Medical Research Center for Prevention and Health Protection of Workers at Industrial Enterprises.

The main ionic composition of the water is dominated by bicarbonate and chloride ions and sodium cations, which is typical for the waters of the Obukhovskoye field and allows this water to be classified as bicarbonate-chloride-sodium. The value of water mineralization varies from 1.92 to 1.96 g/dm 3, which allows us to consider them as low-mineralized.

Along with the basic chemical composition, the medicinal properties of Obukhovskaya mineral water are associated with the biologically active substances present in it, mainly represented by organic substances. In addition, due to the predominance of organic substances in the composition: alcohol resins, humic substances, the content of which varies from 2 to 7 mg/dm 3, this type of water can be classified as mineral waters with a high content of organic substances of the humic type.

In addition to humic substances, the mineral water presented contained the presence of neutral bitumens (oils, neutral resins, petroleum hydrocarbons) in an amount of 1.6-3.5 mg/dm 3, as well as acidic bitumens (naphthenic acids, light, medium and acidic resins, acid bitumen) - 1.0-1.4 mg/dm 3. The total content of organic substances generally varies from 10.0 to 20.0 mg/dm 3 . At the same time, the highest content of organic substances is observed in the water of well 10-D (C org. from 5.19 to 11.74 mg/dm 3), operated and used for medicinal and drinking purposes by the Obukhovsky sanatorium.

In terms of the content of organic substances - “C org.”, regulated by GOST 13273-88 “Medicinal and medicinal drinking mineral waters” (C org. up to 10 mg/dm 3).

In addition to organic substances, the healing properties of Obukhovskaya water are determined by the following therapeutically active components present in it in relatively small concentrations:

Metasilicic acid - 40.9-43.2 mg/dm 3 ;

Orthoboric acid - 26.3-26.6 mg/dm 3 ;

Bromine - 3.94-4.26 mg/dm3;

Iron - up to 0.1 mg/dm3;

Hydrogen sulfide - up to 5.0 mg/dm 3 ;

Iodine - 0.68-0.85 mg/dm3.

The study of the main physiological groups of bacteria in Obukhovskaya water showed that nitrifying, denitrifying and butyric acid bacteria predominate in it, and ammonifying bacteria are present in slightly smaller numbers.

Long-term observations of the content of microelements in Obukhovskaya mineral water that have a toxic effect in certain concentrations (cobalt, vanadium, barium, zinc, copper, arsenic, chromium, etc.) or have adverse influence on organoleptic properties, show that their content in the water of well 10-D is in concentrations acceptable for mineral drinking medicinal table waters.

From the above it follows that the Obukhovskaya mineral water from well 10-D, used for internal use in the sanatorium, has favorable chemical, toxicological, microbiological and organoleptic characteristics, and also has a pleasant taste.

APPLICATION OF MINERAL WATER

Recently, mineral water has become popular among city residents. Many people drink it instead of regular water, not taking into account that it contains a unique set of chemical elements, determining benefit or harm. Others are attracted by the presence of carbon dioxide. Still others believe that it will help cure high acidity of gastric juice, and buy any mineral water. However, mineral water is intended only for medicinal purposes and can cause irreparable harm to the body, especially children.

Water saturated with mineral salts, organic and biological active substances, as well as various gases has medicinal properties. This type of water is called mineral water. Depending on the content of certain ingredients and the electrical charge of the ions, water has various healing properties. In addition, the physiological effect of a particular mineral water is determined by its temperature (which varies widely - from 1 to 40 ° C or more) and the method of administration (in one gulp or in small sips, long before meals or immediately before meals). The main medicinal properties of mineral water depend on its chemical composition.

For example, the bicarbonate ion is involved in maintaining acid-base balance in the body. Water such as Narzan and Borjomi normalizes the motor and secretory functions of the gastrointestinal tract and reduces dyspeptic disorders. It is useful not only for diseases of the digestive system, but also for inflammatory processes in the genitourinary system.

In case of stagnation of bile in the gallbladder and in case of reduced acidity of gastric juice, mineral water containing chlorine ion type “Essentuki” No. 4 is useful. For constipation, sulfate mineral waters (“Batalinskaya”, “Arzni”) are recommended, which irritate the intestinal mucosa, thereby increasing peristalsis. Ferrous mineral waters (“Martialnaya”, “Jermuk”) stimulate blood formation, so they are useful to take for anemia.

Iodide mineral waters are used for atherosclerosis. For neuroses, mineral waters containing bromine (for example, “Talaya”) are prescribed. Water with silicic acid has an analgesic, antitoxic and anti-inflammatory effect.

In recent years, radon mineral waters have become widespread as drinking water, as it has been found that in small doses they are useful for pyelonephritis and dysfunction of the gastrointestinal tract.

Proper use of mineral waters allows you to reduce or increase the acidity of gastric juice, improve blood circulation in the stomach and liver, increasing the flow of arterial blood and the outflow of venous blood, which is useful for the normal functioning of organs, in particular because it reduces or completely eliminates hypoxia - oxygen starvation of tissues , and this increases their resistance to pathogenic factors. As a result of taking mineral waters, metabolic processes in the liver are normalized, bile stagnation is eliminated, the healing process of ulcers in the stomach is accelerated, and the functions of the gastric glands are restored. Mineral waters also have a beneficial effect on the pancreas.

Water is involved in the body’s thermoregulation, maintains thermal homeostasis, and helps adapt to temperature changes. environment. As the temperature rises, the evaporation of water from the surface of the body increases, and it cools. Lowering the air temperature sharply reduces evaporation, and heat is retained in the body.

Loss large quantities water (through evaporation, as a result of vomiting, diarrhea, increased diuresis) disrupts the constancy of the internal environment (salts are lost along with water). Normal functioning of the body is unthinkable without maintaining the water-salt balance.

It is important to take into account the amount of not only water introduced into the body, but also excreted. If the amount of water excreted is less than the amount introduced, this indicates a deterioration in kidney function and failure of the cardiovascular system.

From many various types Approximately 40-50 mineral waters are considered medicinal, the rest are considered table waters.

COMPOSITION AND VARIETIES OF DRINKING MINERAL WATER

Medicinal mineral waters are considered natural underground waters containing mineral (less often organic) dense substances and various gases (carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, etc.) dissolved in them. Mineral waters also have various physical and chemical properties that determine their specific characteristics. These include: temperature, fluctuations of which are possible in the range from 5-10 to 100 ° C, osmotic pressure, depending on the amount of substances dissolved in water, pH reaction of the environment, characterizing the degree of acidity, alkalinity or neutrality of the environment, radioactivity, etc.

There are four types of drinking water:

Mineral drinking water (total mineralization 8-12 g/l and less than 8 g/l if available high content boron, arsenic, etc.);

Medicinal table mineral drinking waters (total mineralization 2-8 g/l);

Natural mineral table waters (mineralization 1-2 g/l);

Natural table waters (total mineralization less than 1 g/l).

First class waters - hydrocarbonate (alkaline) are quite common in the territory former USSR. The most famous hydrocarbonate-sodium waters are: Borjomi and Avadhara of Georgia, Luzhanskaya, or Margit, Svalyava, Polyana Kvasova of Transcarpathia, Dilijan of Armenia, Rychal-Su of Dagestan, Achaluki of North Ossetia. The hydrocarbonate ion predominates (more than 25 eq.%) over other ions, although it is usually found in combination with other macro- and microelements - sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium. Carbon dioxide is found in this type of water.

Bicarbonate-calcium-magnesium (alkaline earth) waters are dominated by calcium and magnesium ions, which have special properties that distinguish them from alkaline waters, which contain predominantly sodium, potassium and chlorine ions. This group of waters includes Naftusya in Ukraine and Sairme in Georgia.

Among the mineral waters of the first class are hydro-carbonate-sodium-magnesium low-mineralized water Lastochka (Borjomi type) in Transbaikalia, ferruginous hydrocarbonate-calcium-magnesium water Berezovskaya, hydrocarbonate-sodium-calcium waters in Georgia - Zvara, Nabeglavi.

Second class includes chloride waters, in which the chlorine ion predominates; when the latter is combined with sodium ions, salt water or table salt water is formed. Such waters are available in the resorts of Mirgorod, Staraya Russa, Druskininkai, etc. Strong salt waters are not used for drinking treatment; they are diluted.

Less commonly observed is the combination of chlorine ions with calcium ions instead of sodium ions. Salt waters of this type are highly mineralized, for example, the calcium chloride water of Lugella in Georgia, containing 51.5 g/l calcium chloride.

Third class waters - sulfate waters are characterized by the predominance of the sulfate anion S0 4, when combined with sodium, magnesium or calcium cations, the corresponding types of waters are released: sulfate-sodium (Glauberian), sulfate-magnesium (bitter) and sulfate-calcium (gypsum). Batalinskaya bitter sulfate-magnesium water is well known. Gypsum waters are slightly mineralized (Krainskaya, Izhevskaya).

Water fourth class are represented by the largest group of mineral waters of complex composition, including components of waters of the previous three classes - hydrocarbonate, sulfate, chloride. Hydrocarbonate-chloride-sodium waters (Essentuki No. 4 and 17, Mirgorodskaya, Isti-Su, Arzni), and related chloride-hydrocarbonate-calcium-sodium waters (Skuri - Essentuki type No. 4 and 17) are widespread. Among the known waters of complex composition are Zheleznovodsk hydrocarbonate-sulfate-sodium-calcium waters (Smirnovskaya, Slavyanovskaya), sulfate-chloride-sodium-calcium water (Izhevskaya), sulfate-hydrocarbonate-calcium-magnesium water (Essentuki No. 20), hydrocarbonate-sulfate- sodium containing silicic acid (Jermuk). Hydrocarbonate-sulfate-calcium-magnesium waters such as the Kislovodsk Narzans have gained wide popularity.

The presence of microelements in mineral water in quantities limited to certain limits gives grounds to classify it as “specific”. Thus, ferruginous (Polyustrovskaya, Lastochka, Berezovskaya, etc.), arsenic (Zubiiskaya, Sakhalinskaya, Chvizhepsinsky Narzan), silicon (Jermuk), iodide, bromide (Tallitska) and other waters containing fluorine, manganese, zinc, copper, lithium are distinguished , strontium, barium, etc.

Among mineral waters containing gases, carbonated waters (with a carbon dioxide content of 0.75 g/l and above) are most often prescribed for internal use, less often waters with a small content of hydrogen sulfide (usually combined with carbon dioxide - carbon dioxide-hydrogen sulfide waters). Water containing radioactive gas - radon (at least 10 nCi/l) is used for drinking treatment only with permissible concentrations of other radioactive substances.

INDICATIONS AND CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR INTERNAL USE OF MINERAL WATER

Drinking treatment with mineral water is carried out not only at resorts, but also at home, using bottled mineral waters for this purpose. In any case, start drinking mineral water after consulting your doctor. Bottled mineral waters may be beneficial for illnesses digestive system outside of exacerbation (chronic gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, chronic intestinal diseases, chronic diseases of the liver and biliary tract, cholelithiasis, dyskinesia of the biliary tract and gallbladder, chronic pancreatitis), with some metabolic diseases (obesity, gout, renal diathesis , mild diabetes), urinary tract diseases (urolithiasis, pyelitis, cystitis, pyelocystitis).

All of the above diseases in the acute or complication stage are considered contraindicated for drinking treatment with bottled water. Complications include: blockage of the biliary tract and purulent process in the biliary tract, requiring hospital treatment or surgical intervention; motor insufficiency of the stomach, tendency to bleeding, suspicion of the possibility of cancerous degeneration; narrowing of the esophagus or pylorus, sudden prolapse of the stomach; ulcerative processes in the rectum and sigmoid colon; bleeding hemorrhoids; decompensation of cardiac activity in obesity; tendency to acidosis in diabetes. It is not justified to ingest alkaline mineral waters when the urine is alkaline in order to avoid aggravating the disturbance of the acid-base balance of the body.

Duration of drinking treatment bottled water should not exceed 1-1.5 months due to the likelihood of a violation of water-salt metabolism. Repeated one to one and a half month courses of internal use of mineral water 3-4 times a year are acceptable. It is necessary to strictly observe the types of bottled mineral waters recommended by the doctor, doses and times of intake, water temperature, frequency, and the connection between mineral water intake and food intake.

A heterogeneous effect also occurs as a result of ingesting mineral water 30-40 minutes or 1-1.5 hours before meals. Basically any mineral water should be taken warmed up to 38-40 °C form(overheating above 50 °C leads to a change in the composition of water), with the exception of waters prescribed as laxatives. Heat water in bottles or glasses in a water bath (in other words, place it in a saucepan with hot water). When heated, excess carbon dioxide is removed, which, as a rule, saturates any mineral water.

Treatment with mineral waters

Treatment with mineral waters is very highly effective and beneficial for the body. But mineral waters can bring us even greater benefits if we drink them not only when we are already sick, but also before the disease occurs, that is, for the purpose of prevention.

You need to make it a rule for yourself and your family to have mineral water on the table every day and drink it to cleanse the body and prevent various diseases, since tap water is practically unsuitable for ingestion due to its contamination.

It is necessary to accustom yourself to constantly drink low-mineralized water, preferably that which is obtained from spring sources in your district or region. It is better that it is always the same water, since it is difficult for the body to adapt each time to the new mineral composition of the liquid entering the body.

You can use bottled mineral waters. Good quality water should be colorless and absolutely clean.

Mineral water bottles are stored horizontally in a cool place.

The preventive use of bottled mineral waters should be combined with adherence to a certain regimen and diet, especially in cases where you feel any unwell; even if it is very light.

Mineral waters are used for internal use, baths, swimming in medicinal pools, all kinds of showers, as well as for inhalation and rinsing for diseases of the throat and upper respiratory tract, for irrigation for gynecological diseases, etc.

Based on the concentration of mineral salts, waters of low mineralization, medium, high degree of mineralization, brine and strong brine are distinguished.

For internal use, mineral waters with mineralization from 2 to 20 g/l are usually prescribed.

According to their ionic composition, mineral waters are divided into chloride, hydrocarbonate, sodium, calcium, magnesium, etc.

Based on the presence of gases and the specificity of the elements, they distinguish: carbon dioxide, sulfide (hydrogen sulfide), nitrogen, bromide, iodide, ferruginous, arsenic, silicon, radioactive (radon) and other mineral waters.

By temperature: cold (up to 20 °C), warm (20 - 37 °C), hot (thermal, 37 - 42 °C), very hot (high thermal, from 42 °C and above).

The following treatment methods are available:

Drink water, rinse your mouth with it, make mouth baths, rinse your stomach, etc.; - inject mineral water into the colon, do enemas, microenemas, siphon lavage of the intestines; - do inhalations with mineral water.

How to drink mineral water for medicinal purposes?

First of all, this can only be done after consultation with a doctor who, taking into account the type of disease, as well as the presence of existing diseases, gives advice on the choice of mineral water and the method of its use.

You should drink mineral water slowly, slowly, in small sips, savoring it. If the water tastes unpleasant (for example, a bitter-salty laxative), then you are allowed to drink it quickly, in one gulp.

Moderately mineralized mineral waters are usually prescribed to a person of average height and weight in the amount of about one glass (200 - 250 ml).

With small height and weight, the dose can be reduced by two: 150 - 100 ml. For tall and heavy people (80 - 90 kg or more), the single dose is increased to 300 - 400 ml (1.5 - 2 cups).

Low-mineralized waters can be taken in higher dosages compared to highly mineralized ones.

A single dose of mineral water depends on the type of disease and the individual characteristics of the patient.

Mineral waters, predominantly of low mineralization and containing calcium ions, have a pronounced diuretic (diuretic) effect and promote the removal of bacteria, mucus, sand and even small stones from the kidneys, renal pelvis and bladder.

The use of mineral waters is contraindicated in cases of narrowing of the esophagus and pylorus, cardiovascular diseases accompanied by edema, impaired excretory ability of the kidneys, etc.

Please note that very rarely and only for special indications, mineral waters are used cold for medicinal purposes. Most often they are prescribed heated.

At home, heating mineral water is best done in a water bath.

How do they do it?

A glass filled with mineral water is placed in a bowl of hot water and held until the water reaches the required temperature. The choice of a particular temperature is made by the doctor depending on the type of disease, the phase of treatment of the disease and the individual characteristics of the patient.

For peptic ulcers, irritable stomach, pyloric spasm, exacerbation of chronic cholecystitis, cholelithiasis, with a tendency to diarrhea, etc., drinking is prescribed hot water(40 - 45 °C).

Cold water in these cases can increase pain or provoke an exacerbation of the disease.

For a number of diseases of the digestive tract (gastritis, colitis, hepatitis) and metabolic disorders (diabetes mellitus, obesity, diathesis), moderately heated water (25 - 35 ° C) can be prescribed.

Mineral springs in Ukraine: Mirgorod, Slavyanogorsk, Truskavets, Morshyn, etc.

Balneotherapy

Literally translated from Greek, balneotherapy means “bathing treatment.” Currently, this concept means everything that relates to the external use of mineral waters used for medicinal purposes (baths, bathing, showers, etc.).

For treatment purposes, both low-mineralized and highly mineralized (brine) waters are used. By their origin, this can be underground water, including thermal (warm and hot).

Among groundwaters, gas waters (carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, radon, etc.) are of particular value from a medicinal point of view.

In non-resort conditions, for external use, primarily the waters of open reservoirs - seas, bitter-salty lakes and estuaries, mineral waters of local sources and boreholes are used.

Therapeutic baths with mineral water are taken in the following cases:

Diseases of the musculoskeletal system (bones, joints, muscles, spine - rheumatic, infectious, traumatic, metabolic-endocrine and other origin, but non-tuberculous);

Functional and organic diseases of the nervous system (neurotic conditions, neuroses), diseases and consequences of injuries of the peripheral and central nervous system (neuralgia, radiculitis, polyradiculitis, meningo-encephalitis, etc.);

Diseases of the female and male reproductive system - inflammatory diseases of the uterus and its appendages, pelvic tissue, male genital area (functional and organic);

Diseases cardiovascular system(myocardial dystrophy, myocardiosclerosis, heart defects, neuroses primarily affecting the cardiovascular system, hypertension, thrombophlebitis, atherosclerosis of the vessels of the extremities, etc.);

Diseases of the digestive system (gastritis, peptic ulcer, colitis, hepatitis, etc.);

Metabolic diseases (obesity, diabetes, gout, diathesis, etc.).

At the very beginning of treatment with mineral waters, reduced doses should be used (0.3 - 0.5 glasses). The amount of water you drink should be increased gradually. This rule must be followed especially by those who have a tendency to diarrhea. When it appears, you should stop taking mineral water (until the diarrhea stops).

Taking mineral water three times a day (during the day) has long been rooted in medical practice and has fully justified itself: in the morning on an empty stomach, in the afternoon before lunch and in the evening before dinner.

Only at the beginning of the course of treatment, especially for persons prone to diarrhea, can one limit one or two doses. If water is easily tolerated, you should switch to a three-time dose.

For special indications, some patients may be prescribed water up to 6-8 times a day. In such cases, it is drunk not only before lunch, breakfast and dinner, but also in the intervals between them, immediately or some time after eating.

Indications for drinking water more frequently than usual are diseases of the urinary tract, requiring intensive rinsing, and metabolic disorders (diabetes).

In addition, additional intake of mineral water is usually recommended for peptic ulcers, severe heartburn, pain in the epigastric region that appears after eating, disturbances in gastric emptying associated with pyloric spasms, etc.

Mineral water intakes (0.25 - 0.3 glasses) for these painful phenomena are repeated at 15-minute intervals and are in most cases quite sufficient to eliminate these phenomena.

Under conditions of triple intake and use of moderately mineralized waters with an average single dose of about 200 - 300 ml, the daily dose is usually in the range of 600 - 900 ml. With frequent intake of mineral water, as well as when using larger single doses, the daily amount can reach one and a half liters or more.

When using large doses of mineral water, it is necessary to take into account the state of the cardiovascular system, liver, kidneys, metabolism, so as not to cause overload and thus prevent the development of painful phenomena.

That is why the question of one-time and daily dose mineral water must be decided by the attending physician.

Inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity (stomatitis), gums (gingivitis, periodontal disease), tongue (glossitis).

Rinse with mineral water suitable for internal use and slightly heated.

Another form of treatment for oral disease is oral baths. Take a good sip of mineral water into your mouth, hold it there for a while, and then spit it out. This procedure is repeated several times for 10 - 15 minutes, using a total of 1 - 2 glasses of mineral water. Mouth baths are done 2-3 times a day. The duration of the course of treatment is 3 - 4 weeks.

Inflammatory diseases of the nose (rhinitis), pharynx (pharyngitis), larynx (laryngitis), trachea, bronchi

Basic forms medicinal use mineral water for these diseases - gargling and inhalation.

Gargling is done with warm mineral water 2 - 3 times a day. The procedure requires 1 - 2 glasses of water. The course of treatment is 3 - 4 weeks.

Inhalations are done daily or every other day. For a course of treatment, up to 15 - 25 inhalations are given, depending on the type and nature of the disease.

For inhalation, medicinal waters of different chemical compositions are used, belonging to the category of moderately or low-mineralized waters containing various gases - carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, radon, etc.

Particularly popular are alkaline (bicarbonate-sodium) waters of the “Borjomi” type, alkaline-salt (bicarbonate-chloride-sodium) waters of the “Essentuki” type No. 4, table salt waters (chloride-sodium) of the “Staraya Russa” type, and alkaline-earth waters ( hydrocarbonate-sulfate-sodium-calcium) type Zheleznovodsk waters, etc. They are prescribed for the treatment of diseases of the upper respiratory tract (laryngotracheitis, bronchitis, bronchial asthma), pneumoconiosis (dust lung disease), residual effects after pneumonia, etc.

In addition, inhalations are also prescribed for the treatment of certain internal diseases. For example, radon inhalations are prescribed for certain metabolic disorders (gout, diathesis), rheumatism and other diseases.

The therapeutic effect of the inhalation method is based on the simultaneous effect of moist heat and substances included in mineral waters on the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract.

To treat the above diseases, medicinal substances with a special purpose (menthol, eucalyptus, thyme, vaseline oil, etc.) can also be administered by inhalation.

Inhalations at home

Pour water heated to 70 - 80 ° C into a bowl or cup. Then bend over the vessel, close your eyes, cover your head with a towel, and inhale the steam evenly and deeply for 5 - 7 minutes. Dry your face with a towel and rest for 1 - 1.5 hours. During this time, do not go outside. Hot inhalations are carried out 2 - 3 times a day.

Inflammatory bowel diseases

Intestinal procedures - enemas, microenemas, siphon intestinal lavages with mineral water. These therapeutic procedures are used with great success in the treatment of inflammatory processes in the small and large intestines (chronic enteritis, colitis).

Mineral waters with low or moderate mineralization can be used for this purpose. Intestinal procedures (irrigation, underwater intestinal lavage) are usually carried out in hospital and outpatient settings.

And procedures such as enemas and microenemas with mineral water can be carried out at home.

Where there is no mineral water, you can use various kinds of salt solutions and decoctions medicinal herbs, solutions of certain medications.

For example, here are the recipes for some of them:

A solution of purified borax (10 g per 1 liter of water);

* physiological solution, solution of table salt and sodium bicarbonate (3 g per 1 l);

* solution of potassium permanganate;

* chamomile decoction;

* soothing and enveloping enemas of starch, tannin, salen, etc.

The choice and dosage of such intestinal procedures is the responsibility of the attending physician.

Microclysters using pure mineral water are an intestinal procedure that is easy to carry out in a non-resort setting.

For this purpose, local or imported (bottled) mineral waters are used. Mineral water heated to 38 - 40 C in an amount of 200 - 300 ml is introduced into the rectum and is retained here until it is completely absorbed. Before the procedure, a cleansing enema must be done.

Usually microenemas are carried out every other day, and for special indications - more often and even 2 - 3 times a day. About 10 - 16 procedures are prescribed for a course of treatment.

Microclysters are recommended for inflammatory diseases of the large intestine, especially its final section - the rectum and sigmoid colon (proctitis, proctosigmoiditis), hemorrhoids. They are also used in combination with infusions of chamomile, mint, St. John's wort, and eucalyptus.

Various oils are also introduced - olive, sunflower, etc. (50 - 100 ml) in heated form.

Gastritis

Mineral water is usually drunk before meals. In this case, it is necessary to take into account the time interval between drinking and the subsequent meal. This period is not the same for different patients and should vary depending on the state of the secretory function of the stomach.

In cases where it is low (subanacid and anacid gastritis, achylia), it is recommended to drink mineral water 15 - 30 minutes before meals and then immediately before meals.

With normal secretion and acidity of gastric juice, drink water 45 minutes before meals, and with increased secretion and high acidity of gastric juice - 1 - 1.5 hours.

In order to normalize the secretion of gastric juice, it is necessary to drink water not only at a strictly defined time before meals, but also take into account the characteristics of the chemical composition of water.

It must be remembered that some mineral waters have a more pronounced juice-containing effect, while others have a more noticeable inhibitory effect on gastric secretion.

In case of reduced secretion of gastric juice and the absence of free hydrochloric acid in it (anacidic and subanacidic gastritis, gastric achylia), carbon dioxide-rich and sufficiently mineralized waters are especially recommended: bicarbonate-chloride-sodium (alkaline-salt) - “Essentuki No. 17”, sodium chloride waters - “Mirgorodskaya”, “Druskininkaiskaya”, “Minskaya”, etc.

On the contrary, with preserved and especially with increased secretion, purely alkaline waters deserve attention: hydrocarbonate-sodium waters like “Borjomi”, “Polyana Kvasova”, hydrocarbonate-sulfate-sodium-calcium waters like Zheleznovodsk (Smirnovskaya, Slavyanskaya), sulfate-calcium water like Krainka etc.

Constipation, liver and biliary tract diseases

To combat constipation, enhance bile formation and excretion, drink mineral water as follows. In the morning, on an empty stomach, while still in bed, the patient is given a drink of mineralized water heated to 40 °C). Water is drunk in two doses (200-250 ml each) with an interval of 15-20 minutes.

If it is necessary to increase bile secretion, as well as for constipation, the patient is given magnesium sulfate, sodium sulfate (0.5 - 1 teaspoon), sorbide (30 - 50 g), olive or sunflower oil(1 tablespoon) or other choleretic and laxatives.

After drinking mineral water, you must stay in bed. You need to lie on your right side with a heating pad in the area of the gallbladder for about 1.5 - 2 hours before the urge to urinate.

After the procedure is completed, breakfast. The usual morning drinking of mineral water is canceled. In total, the course includes 6 - 8 procedures, 2 procedures per week.

Such procedures are especially effective in patients with diseases of the liver and biliary tract (chronic hepatitis, chronic cholecystitis, etc.).
