But first, a few words about why this nondescript and clumsy root is so useful. Ginger, according to the world's wisdom, is almost a panacea for all illnesses and ailments. Ginger is rich essential oils, vitamins A and C, microelements (iron, zinc) and essential amino acids. This miracle root will increase your spirits, cure colds, speed up your metabolism, and help you lose weight.

Making ginger tea is incredibly simple, and this task can be done even by someone who is completely far from the culinary field. And how much imagination can you show in the process of preparing this miraculous drink!

You can use ginger tea as a base for herbal teas by adding different medicinal herbs depending on what kind of drink you want to get out of it.

Brew ginger tea with black tea, herbal collection, rose hips, dried herbs, berries or fruits, lemon or lime. The space for creativity is open. By combining your favorite ingredients, you will prepare exactly the drink that you love most.

For ginger tea, it is best to use the root rather than dry ginger. If you use the latter, the tea will turn out cloudy.

Pour boiling water over green tea and leave for 5 minutes. Strain the tea into a small saucepan.

Peel the ginger and remove thin strips using a vegetable peeler. Cut a little zest from the lemon and squeeze the juice out of half.

In a saucepan with green tea add ginger, cloves, cardamom and lemon zest.

Spices can be anything: star anise, anise, cinnamon, bay leaf, black or allspice peas - whatever is on hand.

Bring the contents of the saucepan to a boil over low heat. Add a handful of cranberries and half a lemon to the pan. Cook for 5 minutes.

You don't have to add cranberries to your tea, then it will be yellow, but I love the pretty pink hue the cranberries add to the finished drink.

Mix lemon juice with honey.

Remove the saucepan with tea from the heat and pour in lemon juice with honey.

Most recipes suggest adding honey to tea while it is still boiling in the pan. But I would not recommend doing this, because when boiled, honey loses all its beneficial properties.

You can use lime instead of lemon. It has a slightly different taste and aroma than its yellow counterpart.

Cover the saucepan with a lid and let the tea brew.

Pour tea into mugs through a sieve.

This tea can be drunk either warm or cold.

Just remember that ginger tea has a tonic effect, so it is better not to drink it before bed, otherwise you may suffer from insomnia all night.

It’s a December evening outside, and the snow is quietly falling in large flakes. At such a time, it’s so nice to prepare a warming winter drink and, sitting comfortably in a soft chair, watch the snowfall in the company of your loved ones.

I offer a simple option for making hot cranberry tea. This vitamin drink looks very bright and festive, and is prepared in literally 15-20 minutes.

To make cranberry tea, you can use fresh or frozen berries. Let the frozen cranberries thaw a little at room temperature.

We use green tea without aromatic additives, the type of tea is to taste.

Bring 500 ml of water to a boil. In a thermos, put 3 sprigs of mint, allspice peas and green tea, pour boiling water over it, close the thermos and let it brew for 5 minutes. If you don’t have a thermos, you can prepare the infusion in a kettle or saucepan, covering the container.

While the tea is steeping, let's make cranberries. Place cranberries and sugar in a saucepan and mash everything with a wooden masher. Add 300 ml of water, put the saucepan on the fire and boil until the sugar dissolves (2-3 minutes).

Combine the cranberry broth and tea infusion, after straining them. The drink is ready. Pour cranberry tea and serve hot.

To give the drink a festive look, garnish it with the remaining mint sprig and cranberries.

Glasses can be decorated like this: holding the edge of the glass upside down, wipe it with a slice of lemon, then dip the glass in sugar, poured in an even layer in a saucer. We get a “snowy” edging.

Enjoy your tea and happy holidays!
