Work progress
December...The beginning of winter...I really want to wake up in the morning and see a white blanket of snow outside the window. Even though the sky is still dark and there is dampness in the air, there is still hope for a miracle - the first miracle of winter - snowfall!
He is always expected at all times. Poems and songs are written about him, paintings are painted.

A. Plastov "First Snow"

It was snowing all over the world.
I walked wherever my eyes led me -
Then he will turn to the village,
It will pass through the city.
And then, then into the woods,
On the coastal beach, sand,
To the hills, to the hills,
On trees and bushes...
Along the roads, along the paths,
He carried his snowflakes to everyone.
He carried and carried lightly and lightly.
Everything became white - white.
Everything shone with a gentle light,
And the night gave way to dawn.
The snowfall was walking, walking
And a little tired!
He got tired and stopped.
He gave away all the snowflakes!
Let him rest a little
He will come again later!
O. Shalimova

So, let's start drawing.
1. Draw the horizon line with a simple pencil.

2. Add white and black paint to the palette. Mixing them, we get gray color. We remember that we take first white, and add a little black to it.

3. Take a thick brush and paint the sky with gray paint up to the horizon line. Leave the bottom of the sheet unpainted. This is land covered with snow.

4. Now we lighten the sky near the horizon line to depict space. To do this, add a little white paint to the gray color to create a light gray shade.

5. At the horizon line, draw a stripe in light gray.

6.Take a thin brush and paint trees and bushes with black paint. We remember that when depicting trees, you can show not only the type of tree, but also its age and character.

7. We try to draw some trees far away and others close.

8. If desired, use a thin brush to paint flying birds, birds (cat, dog) on the ground.

9. While the trees are drying out, gently, with a light touch
Use a cotton swab to draw snowfall, and then use a thin brush to paint snow on the trees and bushes.

10. Using a cotton swab in a light gray color (it remained in the palette), we depict a path of footprints in the snow or the tracks of a bird (animal).

11. Our landscape is ready.

Winter is a truly magical time of the year. White snow crackling underfoot, patterns on the windows, warm hats with pom-poms, snowball fights, New Year's holidays - this is still far from full list all the wonders of winter. And if you want to keep a little of this magic for yourself, then learning how to draw a winter landscape is what you need.

Landscape with mountains and river

Twilight in the forest

Simple drawing

Drawing a rural winter landscape

Although winter can fill even large cities with the atmosphere of a fairy tale, it is the rural views that acquire a special charm and comfort at this time of year. We will demonstrate all the beauty of snow-covered village houses when we learn how to draw a winter landscape step by step.

First, with a pencil, we outline the outlines of one Christmas tree and one house. The Christmas tree will be wide and spreading.

And then - two more houses and another Christmas tree. The houses will have triangular roofs, characteristic of many villages.

Let's add more Christmas trees and a picket fence. This fence, of course, is quite conventional - in the villages people know each other and do not build high fences.

Now, based on the sketch, we will draw with paints. The Christmas trees will be a lush green hue, the houses will have the warm shade of unpainted wood, and the snow will have a slightly blue tint. To make the picture look alive, we will place three birds on the fence.

That's it, the drawing is finished.

Hills and snowfall - drawing a winter landscape

Let's continue the theme of rural beauties. This time we will depict the very outskirts of the village - the forest will be visible in the background. And the snowfall will be in full swing. Don't worry, it's not difficult at all - this example is a great way to practice and draw a winter landscape for beginners.

First, let's outline the largest forms - in our case, these are hills.

Then we will draw three spruce trees in the foreground, and in the background we will make a house, a snowman and the sharp tops of smaller fir trees. Don't forget about the path leading to the house.

Let's draw all the contours well. We will also “give” the snowman a top hat and depict snowflakes falling from the sky.

Let's color the drawing. Our landscape will be at night, so we’ll make the sky dark, grayish (it will be overcast). And, of course, you can’t do without a gorgeous full moon. The house will be made in warm colors: the walls will be yellow, the roof will be red, the doors will be brown.

Let's wrap this up - we did a great job.

Magical winter night

Despite the fact that untouched snow, smoke from the chimneys of rural houses and the pointed tops of Christmas trees look fabulous even during the day, the true magic lies in the winter nights. This is exactly what we will show when we figure out how to draw a winter landscape in gouache.

We will not immediately take up gouache - first we need to complete a pencil sketch. Let's start with the general outline of a hilly area, a house and three trees near it.

Then we’ll draw another smaller house, a path leading to it and add more trees, coniferous and deciduous. In the very foreground there will be a birch tree with thin branches hanging down.

After that we will start working with paints. First of all, use dark tones to depict the sky and forest in the background. You can also grab three spruce trees near the big house. Don’t forget to make a month in the sky - it will still be very thin and young.

Now the foreground. Let's make the snow a little bluish, the Christmas trees green, and the walls of the houses light brown.

Small details remain - the light in the windows, the smoke pouring out of the chimneys, the snow on the legs of the fir trees, the trunk and branches of the birch tree. And many stars in the night sky.

Now we can safely say that the drawing is finished.

Winter landscape with mountains and river

Winter in the mountains is amazing. The forest, which has become harsh and dark, clear rivers, thick snow - all this looks so pristine, clean, untouched that you can admire this beauty for hours. But you also need to add a touch of coziness - a small, but solid and neat village house is perfect for this purpose. So we will learn how to draw a beautiful winter landscape.

First, let's take a look at the first plan - there will be two trees with thin branches there.

On the right side of the picture we will depict a house of a peculiar shape and the tops of Christmas trees in the background.

Now you can take up pencils or paints. Let's make mountains in the background - they will be completely covered with snow. The house will be made of wood, and the bridge will be made of brick. You also need to draw transverse stripes on the nearby trees - these are birch trees. Special attention pay attention to the windows - they should glow, because this is a sure sign that someone lives there.

That's it, we've finished the picture.

Twilight in the winter forest

Besides night, the most interesting time of day in a winter forest is twilight. The stunning shade of the sky and the falling nature merge into a marvelous ensemble. Using the example of such a miracle, we will learn how to paint a winter landscape.

First, let's work on the sky and the overall tone of the snow. For this we will use watercolor or gouache to create beautiful stains. You need to wet the paper, and then apply paint with plenty of water and tilt the sheet. The paint will flow down, forming these beautiful patterns:

Then we will draw a tree in the foreground. try to make the branches thin enough. Moreover, the brush must be guided from the base of the branch to its tip.

Using the same principle, we will draw three small bushes.

Then - two Christmas trees. They should be painted with thick, rich strokes of a dark green hue.

Let's cover the trees and bushes with snow. We’ll also decorate the front bush with juicy red berries.

Now the picture is complete.

A colorful house, a bunny and snowflakes - a fun winter

Winter is a time for fairy tales, which is why it is often depicted in cartoons. In this section we will also work in a cartoon style - at the same time we will learn how to draw a winter landscape with a pencil.

First, let's outline the house and the bunny looking through the window. All outlines will be very smooth, rounded, without sharp edges.

Then we’ll draw the Christmas trees (they will be just as smooth and round) and the snow falling from the sky.

Now let’s paint everything in the brightest colors. But the snow, of course, needs to be made blue. And the Christmas trees are green.

That's it, the fun house is ready.

And below is an example of a child’s drawing based on this master class. It was drawn by Nastya (7.5 years old).

Drawing winter with children using scratch technique

Drawing a winter picture with salt: technique

In the video you will see the drawing technique using the example of a snowman. But you can also create an image of a winter tree, house, clearing, forest.

How to draw winter with gouache: step-by-step video for children 6 years and older

If you have some leaves left over from the fall, use them to create beautiful pictures of a snow-covered forest. Place the leaves on newspaper and paint them with white gouache or acrylic paint. Then carefully stamp the leaves onto the paper, pressing them tightly with a napkin.

Using white wax crayon, draw any image on white paper: snowflakes, houses, a spruce branch, a snowman, or an abstract pattern. For kids, you can make small cards with simple figures or animals drawn. Or write some message.

Wet the paper with water and invite the child to paint over the white sheet with paint (it is better to use acrylic paint or watercolor diluted with water). The white wax lines will remain unpainted and an image will appear on the sheet.

Offer your child an interesting experiment - draw a picture with “ice” crystals! To do this, you will need several bags of magnesium sulfate (magnesia), which can be bought at any pharmacy.

To prepare paint for painting, pour some hot water(1-2 cm) and, stirring, pour magnesia powder into the water. Stir until the powder is completely dissolved and an insoluble sediment appears at the bottom.

Tint the resulting liquid with watercolors. Prepare several flowers at once.

Wet the sheet with a wide brush or sponge and start painting. As the paint dries, crystals will begin to appear, and the drawing will be covered with a unique ice pattern.

  • You can paint with one paint or mix several colors.
  • You can draw snowflakes on dry paper with a cotton swab.
  • A finished picture drawn with crayons, pencils or acrylic paints, can be coated with a colorless “ice paint” solution.
  • Unused paint can be left, and after a while large crystals will begin to form in the cups.
  • If you want to preserve the resulting design, cover it with varnish.

Wet a sheet of thick paper with water and apply liquid paint to it. Place a crumpled plastic bag over the paint, which is usually used for food products, and leave it on the paper until the paint is completely dry.

Then remove the bag and you will see an amazing frosty design.

To draw using this technique, it is best to take a kitchen tray. You can also use glass, plastic napkins for plates and glossy cardboard from packaging.

Apply liquid paint to a smooth substrate or mix paint directly onto it. Depending on what you have in mind, you can use one or several colors. If necessary, the paint on the tray can be sprayed with water.

Place a piece of paper on the paint tray and press it down with your hand, then gently lift it up.

A unique design will be printed on the sheet, which can be further refined by drawing on the necessary details.

How to make a snowman: application

Prepare a set for applique: strips, triangles, large circles and small circles cut out of paper. Invite your child to assemble a snowman of his choice from these parts.
