Chest collection is a series of expectorants, which include various herbs, leaves and flowers of plants, used in the treatment of diseases of the respiratory system and to eliminate the symptoms of colds and coughs.

Pharmacological action

The plants and herbs included in the collection have anti-inflammatory, sedative, bronchodilator and expectorant effects.

Breast collection release form

The product is produced in the form of powders in filter bags and collections with crushed raw materials in cardboard packs with different compositions. Thus, there are four different compositions of Breast Feeds, namely:

  • Collection No. 1 – marshmallow root, oregano herb and coltsfoot leaves;
  • Collection No. 2 – licorice root, leaves of plantain and coltsfoot;
  • Collection No. 3 – licorice and marshmallow roots, common anise fruits, Scots pine buds and salvia officinalis leaves;
  • Collection No. 4 – shoots of wild rosemary (20%), flowers of calendula officinalis and chamomile (20% each), leaves peppermint(5%), tricolor violet herb (20%) and licorice root (15%).

Analogs of Breast collection

Analogues of the fees for the active substance are Phytopectol No. 1 and No. 2 (composition of the Breast collection No. 1 and No. 2, respectively).

Indications for use

According to the instructions, Chest Collection No. 1 is prescribed for ARVI, bronchitis, pneumonia, tracheitis, tracheobronchitis and other inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract. Collection No. 2 is indicated for the formation of poorly separated sputum resulting from inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract.

Chest collection No. 3 is prescribed for infectious and inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract and acute respiratory viral infections, No. 4 - in complex therapy when difficult to separate sputum and severe cough occur.

How to use the Breast Collection

In accordance with the instructions, Breast collection No. 1, 2 and 3 is used orally after meals, and No. 4 before eating, in the form of a hot infusion of 100 ml 2-4 times a day for 14-22 days.

To prepare the infusion, dilute 1 tbsp in an enamel bowl. l. (collection No. 1, 2 and 3) or 2 tbsp. l. (collection No. 4) of the product in 200 ml of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and heat the liquid in a boiling water bath (15 minutes). After this, the liquid should be cooled at room temperature for no more than 45 minutes. Next, the infusion is filtered or the filter bags are wrung out, the amount of liquid is brought to 200 ml with boiled water. Before use, it is recommended to shake the prepared breast collection.

Contraindications

According to the instructions, the use of Breast Collection is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to the components of the product. Breast collection No. 4 is not recommended for use during lactation and pregnancy; it is also contraindicated in children under 3 years of age.

Breast collection No. 1 is also prohibited during pregnancy, as it contains oregano, which can provoke uterine bleeding.

Side effects

According to the instructions, Breast collection can cause allergic reactions with increased individual sensitivity to medicinal herbs.

Storage conditions for Breast collection

The collection should be stored out of the reach of children, in a dark and dry place, at room temperature up to 25°C. When prepared, the chilled infusion from the collection can be stored for no more than 2 days.
