To prepare a pie with cottage cheese, poppy seeds and semolina, prepare the ingredients according to the list.

In a large saucepan, combine milk, filling sugar (150 g), a little salt, vanilla sugar and butter(100 g).

Bring to a boil; the butter and sugar should completely dissolve in the milk. Remove from heat.

Add poppy seeds to the hot milk mixture and semolina. Stir vigorously and set aside for 10-15 minutes. Stir the filling periodically to avoid semolina lumps.

Meanwhile, prepare the dough.

Sift flour into a bowl, add diced butter, sugar, salt, vanilla sugar. Grind everything together into crumbs; it will be easier to do this with your hands.

Spread the filling onto the prepared dough.

Spread the remaining crumb dough evenly on top.

Place the pie in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. Bake the pie for an hour. You can leave the pie in the oven until it cools completely. Pie with cottage cheese, poppy seeds and semolina is good when chilled.

Today I want to tell you how to make a pie with cottage cheese and poppy seeds, the recipe for which I really like. But first, a few words about coffee. For me personally, it is very important to start my day with a cup of hot food. aromatic coffee– I must admit, I have long been convinced that all the next 12 hours of my active life depend on whether I managed to do this...

For me, it’s even akin to some kind of sacrament: getting up early in the morning, walking around all your possessions - straightening someone’s blanket, kissing someone’s sniffling nose, and then, quietly locking yourself in the kitchen, brewing yourself a cup of coffee... How wonderful it is in silence and peace of mind to enjoy every sip - for me these are simply priceless minutes when I am devoted exclusively to myself and no one else...

And it would be simply a crime to deprive yourself of the opportunity to drink this magical morning drink with a piece of some delicious pie or cake.

Well, for this you need to be prudent, which is what I do - I almost always have something to treat my family for tea, and to pamper myself in the morning.

Today I’ll tell you about a pastry I recently tried, but already loved by everyone in our family - a pie with curd and poppy seed filling. Despite large number of all sorts of different manipulations in the process of preparing it, the recipe for this baking is quite simple - especially if you have your favorite assistant on hand - a blender.

Ingredients

To prepare shortbread crumbs, which we will use for the base and top of the baked goods, you need to take:

  • 65 g well-chilled butter
  • 50 g granulated sugar
  • 150 g flour

For the most delicate curd and poppy seed filling you should prepare:

  • 370 ml milk
  • 1 egg
  • 0.5 sachet vanillin
  • 100 g granulated sugar
  • 50 g butter
  • 150 g cottage cheese
  • 80 g semolina
  • 80 g dry poppy seeds

How to make poppy seed pie

  1. To begin with, I suggest preparing shortbread crumbs, which will serve as the bottom and top layers of our baked goods. To do this, you just need to combine flour with sugar, and then cut the butter into cubes.
  2. You can simply grind it all with your hands, or you can use a blender - the second option, I must admit, is much faster and easier...
  3. The crumb is ready - now we’ll just put it in the refrigerator and start preparing the filling.
  4. Poppy filling for pies can be very different. For us, it will consist of two parts - curd and milk-semolina-poppy.
  5. For the curd component, we will simply arm ourselves with a blender again and use it to combine cottage cheese, egg and vanilla sugar.

  6. But for the second component of our original filling, we will first pour milk into a small saucepan, add sugar, semolina and butter.
  7. Now put the pan on the fire and, regularly stirring this milk mass, control the process of its thickening.

  8. Over time, you need to add the washed poppy seeds, mix everything well and keep on the fire for another 3-5 minutes.

  9. The mass must be cooled completely.
  10. And then mix it with curd - our filling is ready.
  11. It's time to turn on the oven to warm up - we need a temperature of 180 degrees.
  12. Now let's prepare a mold - we need a small diameter (18-20 cm) with removable walls. It must first be lined with parchment, and then distributed over the bottom with an even layer of 2/3 shortbread crumbs from the refrigerator.
  13. Now place the filling on the crumb base and smooth it out.
  14. And sprinkle the remaining crumbs on top.
  15. You can put the future poppy seed pie without yeast in the oven - it should bake for 45-50 minutes, but in any case it is better to use a wooden skewer to check the readiness of our baked goods.
  16. Ready shortbread pie with cottage cheese and poppy seeds, you need to cool completely, and only then remove from the mold and cut into portions.
