Last time we talked about where you can relax on the Black Sea coast in Russia.
Today we will look at the most popular vacation spots on the Sea of Azov, which is located in the southeast of Ukraine and southwest Russia. For obvious reasons, we will not consider the Ukrainian coast, but we will study the Russian side in more detail.

Let's start with the fact that Azov is the shallowest sea in the world. This means that the water here warms up much faster, which allows you to start the swimming season much earlier than in the Black Sea resorts.

The seashores here are mostly flat and sandy, the entrance to the water is long and flat. The Sea of Azov is often chosen by families with small children or those who do not like noisy port cities.

When choosing a vacation spot, consider the political situation. If just a year ago Yeysk was one of the most popular resort towns in Azov, then this year, due to its proximity to Rostov-on-Don, a large influx of vacationers is not expected here. For the same reason, the outflow of tourists will most likely occur in the Neklinovsky district and the Azov region.

To get to the Sea of Azov from Yekaterinburg you need to travel 2,600 kilometers. Near the main resorts there are two large airports - Anapa Vityazevo and Krasnodar Pashkovsky. There are also trains.

Shcherbinovsky district

Shabelskoe

The northernmost resort village on the Azov coast of Kuban, however, there are no fewer sunny days a year here than in the south of the Krasnodar Territory.

The village is located on the coast of the Azov Sea (the southern shore of the Taganrog Bay) near Cape Sazalnik and the salt lake Dolgoye. About 2,500 people live in the village. There are not many tourists even in the summer months. This is primarily due to the fact that there is practically no recreational infrastructure here. If the lack of coastal cafes and discos does not bother you, then nature and the sea will clearly delight lovers of solitude.

Glazing

Glafirovka is another small village in the Shcherbinovsky district. The beach, just like in Shabelskoye, is sand and shell. To the south of the village stretches the 6.6-kilometer Glafirovskaya Spit, which separates the Yeisk Estuary from the Taganrog Bay.
Here, by mid-May, the water in the sea warms up to 27 degrees, and in June-August on some days - up to 30-33 degrees. The swimming season lasts until mid-September.

In Glafirovka it is always clear and sunny; in summer there is almost no rain. The village is quite small, but completely paved. Housing is inexpensive, but the choice is limited. Quiet, calm and very green.

Primorsko-Akhtarsky district

This area is famous for its healing waters and dirt. Therefore, here you can plan not just a vacation on the coast, but also treatment in one of the sanatoriums.

This area is also known for its winds, which create special conditions for windsurfing and kitesurfing. And, perhaps, this is the only area in which hunting and fishing are developed for tourists.

Primorosko-Akhtarsk

Primorosko-Akhtarsk is a small coastal town with a population of more than 30 thousand people. It is surrounded by estuaries, healing mud springs and lakes.

This corner of Kuban attracts with its open spaces. In addition to three well-maintained municipal beaches, you can also find some completely wild ones here. Almost everywhere the sea deepens gradually, the bottom is small pebbles.
This city is one of the few where almost everyone can find entertainment to their liking. Night bars and restaurants, city beaches are equipped with trampolines, children's pools and sports grounds. Sandy and small-pebble beaches also attract the attention of vacationers. That's why it's never empty here.

Yasensky car camping

There is another type of holiday in Azov. People often travel like savages in their cars. Therefore, a car camping was organized near Akhtarsk.

It is designed for 197 cars and 197 tent places. Visitors are offered comfortable bungalows, solariums, a bar, a kitchen, children's and sports grounds, water attractions and other conditions for a favorable holiday.

Achuevskaya Spit

You can get here by dirt road or by motor boat, so there are practically no vacationers here. Secluded sandy beaches and pristine nature for true romantics. Here it is customary to pitch a tent, fish and have conversations with the sky and sea. Nudists also like to relax here.

You can get to the Primorsko-Akhtarsky district by car or by bus. It is also possible to travel by train to the villages of Kanevskaya or Bryukhovetskaya, as well as to the city of Timashevsk, and from there by bus or taxi.

Yeisk district

Yeisk district is located in the north-west of the Krasnodar region, between the two capitals of the North Caucasus region: Krasnodar and Rostov-on-Don.

As mentioned above, many will be afraid to travel to this area this coming summer due to its proximity to Rostov-on-Don. Therefore, all the gorgeous beaches and developed infrastructure can be quite attractive for those who do not like crowds of people. Well, most likely, no one will raise prices. Although, who knows.

Shell and sandy beaches, estuaries and spits, freshwater lakes, shallow and warm sea - all this is the Yeisk region.

The main resort areas of the Yeisk region are: Yeisk Spit (city of Yeisk), Dolgaya Spit (stanitsa Dolzhanskaya), Kamyshevatskaya Spit (stanitsa Kamyshevatskaya), as well as the sea coast near the village of Yasenskaya Pereprava.

Yeysk is a large resort town on the Azov coast, which was founded at the end of the 19th century. If you fundamentally do not like children, then it is better to avoid holidays in Yeysk. Because Russian mothers consider it their duty to take their children here. In general, the Sea of Azov is very popular with families with small children. Because it’s sand, because it’s shallow, because it warms up well. Yeisk is no exception. Among other things, it is very green here: pears, apricots, cherry plums, apples, and cherries grow.

There is a lot of entertainment on the coast, both for children and adults: parks, an aquarium, and various attractions.

Long braid

30 kilometers from Yeisk there is one of the secluded places in Azov. There are no trains, no planes, and getting to the village of Dolzhanka is quite difficult. As a rule, those who come here in their own cars come here. Bikers gather here at the beginning of summer, and this place is famous among surfers who set up their tents here throughout the summer.

This place is almost wild. Several camp sites, not large number houses - everything is in the middle of the spit. There is almost no entertainment, and as a result, almost no tourists.

Attention! You should not swim at the edge of the spit due to the large number of whirlpools. Every year people drown in this place.

Kamyshevatskaya Spit

The village of Kamyshevatskaya is located 38 kilometers from Yeisk. Quiet, relaxing place for a family holiday.
In the village there is an estuary with natural healing mud. The beach is sandy and shell. There are minibuses and buses running to Yeisk, so if you get bored with a calm, measured holiday, you can always have fun in a large resort town.

Many local residents keep goats and cows, so you can always buy fresh, natural milk at the market.

Yasenskaya crossing

It is famous for the fact that it has the lowest prices for accommodation among the resort villages of the Azov coast, perhaps due to the fact that there is absolutely no tourist infrastructure here. The beach is shell rock, the sea warms up to 32 degrees by August, the water is often cloudy due to the muddy bottom.
Every May, the Yasenmai kite surfing festival takes place here.

Slavyansky district

The resort area of the Slavyansky region stretches for 45 kilometers of the Azov coast. In addition to traditional holidays by the sea, sailing, kayaking on the Kuban and Protoka rivers and regular hiking along the river banks are popular here.

Achuevo

Another small village of the Azov Sea. The sea is shallow; to swim you need to walk 150-200 meters. Usually everyone relaxes at the Oasis beach camp, which is equipped with shady awnings, and on the coast there is a cafe, parking, barbecues and a tent with souvenirs.

Achuevo is far from a resort, just a small village with a beach. If you are not pretentious and want to save money, then you can relax in Achuevo.

Temryuk district

An hour's drive from Anapa airport is the city of Temryuk, which is the most big city Taman Peninsula.

Behind it begins the so-called Azov Riviera. This is about 100 km of sandy beaches along the coast of the Azov Sea from Temryuk to the Kerch Strait. There are four resort villages there - Kuchugury, Peresyp, Golubitskaya and Ilyich.

Kuchugury

Kuchugury is a village in the Temryuk district, just 60 kilometers from Anapa airport.

About five years ago I personally had the opportunity to visit there, I think that nothing much has changed.

Until mid-June there were very few vacationers; it often happened that the beach remained completely empty until lunchtime. The coastal strip itself is sandy, the entrance to the sea is gentle. The sea is more like a lake; during the month of our stay there were waves a couple of times.

There are always more people closer to the center of the village, so if you like privacy, it is better to settle on the outskirts. In the center there is one large store, in scale it can be compared with the former Central grocery store on Lenin. There is a pharmacy and a pharmacy kiosk; if the required drug is not on sale, they bring it to order.

The market is also small, and like all markets on the coast, it works from early morning. In the private sector you can buy cherries, strawberries, and milk.

There are taxi drivers driving around the village who, for a hundred rubles, are ready to go to the store at any time of the day or night.

There is a small park with entertainment for children; at night, bars and open-air cafes open next to the park.

The village is located 70 kilometers from Anapa on the Krasnodar-Kerch-Simferopol highway. It was located on both sides of the highway. One part of the village lives along the estuary, and the other along the sea. If you want to save on accommodation, then you should look for housing on the estuary side, it is cheaper there. You will have to walk across the road to the sea, and the whole journey will take 15-20 minutes.

Unlike Kuchugur or Golubitskaya, the tourism business here is just beginning to develop. Active construction is underway, there is practically no infrastructure.

The market is expensive, so if you have your own car, you can save a lot by driving only 15-20 kilometers in any direction, to the village of Za Rodinu or to the village of Akhtonizovskaya. Even on the highway, vegetables and fruits will cost half as much.

One of the advantages of this place is the Tizdar mud volcano, although, however, mud baths are almost everywhere on the Azov coast.

Golubitskaya

Stanitsa Golubitskaya is a popular and very popular place on the Azov Sea.
As soon as a crocodile farm, a water park, a dolphinarium, and exotic animal exhibitions appear in a review, we understand that life is in full swing here. Tourists must be entertained, tourists must be appeased, money must be extracted from tourists.

Did you know that we also have a crocodile farm in Yekaterinburg, but how often do you go there? But on vacation, don’t feed us bread, just let us look at the crocodiles.

Among other things, Golubitskaya has two markets, many bars and night discos. There is even a striptease, which is most likely a very exciting spectacle.

For lovers of healing mud, the Taman Peninsula is simply a godsend. Everywhere you look there is a mud volcano. So in Golubitskaya blue clay, even for money, even for free, I don’t want to smear it.

The beaches are sand and small shells, the entrance is gentle and long, in general, like everywhere else on the Sea of Azov.

Ilyich

The village of Ilyich is located on the shore of the Kerch Strait, a two-hour drive from Anapa airport.
Well, if you want to forget what civilization is, then this is the place for you. At ten o'clock in the evening the village simply dies out. There are no bars or restaurants here, just sea, sun and cheap fruit.

The lack of tourist flow also affects the shops. Only frozen foods are sold here; for fresh meat or fish, you will have to go to neighboring villages.

I think you have a question, why write about “Ilyich” at all, since there are no conditions for tourists there. I assure you, there is a reason, namely the gorgeous sandy beaches and privacy, which is so valued by lovers of wild holidays.

Taman is another village in the Temryuk region, located on the coast of the Taman Bay.

It is in Taman that the action of the eponymous part of M. Yu. Lermontov’s novel “A Hero of Our Time” takes place. Remember what he said about him? “Taman is the nastiest little town of all the seaside towns in Russia.”
In general, despite the fact that Taman is a fairly large city compared to the villages described above, it is a “hole”.

There are a couple of museums with a meager collection, discos on the shore, and several beaches. But the main disadvantage is the location.

A cargo seaport is being built nearby. Just a couple of years ago, an ammonia loading terminal and plant were built food additives. In the north of the bay, on the Chushka spit, there is the Kavkaz port with transshipment terminals chemicals and fertilizers, but despite such proximity there are always a lot of vacationers here.

Every year the largest motorcycle festival in the south of Russia is held in Taman, which attracts up to 10 thousand people. If you get here at this time without pre-booking accommodation, it will be extremely difficult to find a place to stay for the night.

Photos and videos of resorts on the Azov Sea. Map and description

Our country has many beautiful cities and resorts for recreation in winter, summer, spring and autumn. Unfortunately, not everyone recognizes this and, according to some tradition, prefers to fly abroad to sunbathe in August and ski in January. But why, we have amazing seas: the Black, Azov, Caspian. It so happens that the resorts of the Azov Sea in Russia are not as popular as the neighboring ones on the Black Sea coast. This is due to bad reviews about the holiday, about dirty water and not very beautiful natural landscapes. But these are just reviews, and if you yourself had visited the shores of the Azov Sea, you would understand that this is a gorgeous place and relaxing here is no worse than in other places in the world. And here is beautiful nature, which only we have - in Russia.

Photos of Azov Sea resorts in Russia

The largest and most popular resort city on the Azov Sea is Yeysk. He is as popular as he is unloved. Someone admires him, someone after the first trip shouts: I won’t come back here again! And some are indifferent: rest is the same everywhere.

We will not encourage you to come here on vacation, but we will list the advantages of the resort and its possible disadvantages. Firstly, this is the sea. It is small, so it warms up quickly. So you can come here with children, they definitely won’t freeze. But on the other hand, a warmed sea blooms faster and becomes dirty. Therefore, the season here may end quite early.

People come to Yeysk not only for the beaches and the sea, but also for the sake of health. There are amazing mud resorts here that help get rid of many diseases. The variety of beaches is also amazing. There are sandy, pebble and rocky beaches. And every beach is surrounded by nature and beautiful scenery.
It is also worth noting that in terms of availability of recreation, the resort is constantly among the top five cheapest places to vacation. So if you want to relax at sea, get medical treatment and save money, then this is the place for you.

As we already mentioned. Yeysk is the only big city on the Azov coast, the rest of the resorts are small villages and towns.

Stanitsa Golubitskaya is one of such places. This small resort is always included in the top ten most famous summer resorts in Russia. And the “blame” for this is the beaches. Here they are sandy and mixed with small shell rock and enriched with minerals. The air is saturated with iodine and is very beneficial for health and breathing. Despite the fact that the coast is not completely sandy, the bottom of the sea is only sand.

Vineyards grow near the resort. And Golubitskoe Lake is one of the favorite vacation spots among tourists. Here you can swim and take free therapeutic mud baths. The town has a small water park and a dolphinarium.

The next resort is the village of Dolzhanskaya. This place is simply ideal for a quiet and relaxing holiday. It's a small town and there isn't much to do here. But here there is untouched nature and beautiful landscapes everywhere.

The place is also unique because the local beach is located on a spit. And the spit goes far into the sea for 11 kilometers. If you can go all the way through the spit, you will find yourself alone far from the shore. The entire spit and part-time beach is made of sand with shell rock. There are also a lot of minerals and healthy air.

Since there is no entertainment here, vacationers love walks through the pine forest and the steppe, where flowers and medicinal herbs. The walk can be on foot, on horseback or on bicycles.

Resorts of the Azov Sea in Russia on the map

Look at the map of Russia, on which we have marked the resorts of the Azov Sea.

Kuchugury – sandy beach with golden sand and very fine shell rock. The sea near the shore is always clean and warm. Kuchugury is a holiday destination with children.

There are orchards with fruits near the village, and local residents are always happy to offer guests fresh fish freshly caught from the sea. In the center of the resort there is a small children's park with entertainment. There are many children playing and having fun.

As you can see, the resorts on the Sea of Azov are quite decent. And most importantly, there is clean air, a warm sea, and you can be treated simply by being near the water on the beach.

Stanitsa Golubitskaya

A popular holiday destination on the Taman Peninsula. A small village (population just over four thousand) is surrounded by greenery and vineyards and is located 8 km from the city of Temryuk (the nearest railway station is also located here), 55 km from Anapa (the nearest airport is here) and 149 km from Krasnodar.

Sandy, mixed with small shell rock, enriched with healthy minerals, the beaches of the village of Golubitskaya are ideal for families with children. Warm and shallow sea, sandy and flat bottom.

There are many natural attractions on the territory of the village. For example, Golubitskoye Lake is a large but shallow lake with healing mud, convenient for taking mud baths not only for adults, but also for children. Or the amazingly beautiful estuaries, overgrown with lotuses and presenting an unforgettable sight during the flowering period.

For entertainment, there is the largest water park on the Azov Sea, on the territory of which there is a guest house, which gives the right to free admission to all entertainment events on the territory of the water park and the water park itself, as well as the Dolphinarium, where funny performances are held twice a day.

In Taman, you can also visit the ethnographic complex “Ataman” - an open-air museum dedicated to the life and everyday life of the Cossacks, or go to an ostrich farm in Abinsk, visit the Tizdar mud volcano, take a horseback ride or a boat ride along the Kuban River.

There is also the opportunity to fly on a light aircraft of the Sky Aero Club and visit a sailing school, windsurfing club or paragliding center.

During the season, many residents rent out their homes to vacationers. Right on the seashore next to the beach you can rent, if desired, a guest house, a room in a boarding house or at a recreation center.

Stanitsa Dolzhanskaya (Dolzhanka)

The village of Dolzhanskaya is located on the Dolgaya spit, 40 km from the city of Yeisk (the nearest airport is also located here). The nearest railway station from the village is Starominskaya, and Dolzhanka itself has its own pier.

A calm, quiet holiday without much entertainment in this small seaside village, which is a nature reserve with unique nature, is also good for a family holiday.

The sandy and shell-sloping beach is located on the Dolgaya spit, which extends 11 kilometers into the sea and separates the Sea of Azov and the Taganrog Bay.

Pine forest, steppe grasses and flowers enhance the healing effect of local healing mud, saturated minerals shell beaches. And all this as a whole creates a healing and very beneficial environment for the human body.

For accommodation there are several guest houses and boarding houses and a hospitable private sector.

For entertainment, in addition to relaxing on the beach, enterprising locals offer horseback riding excursions around the area and teaching horse riding lessons. These places are also very popular among windsurfers.

Yes, yes, this is the same resort village on the shores of the Azov Sea, famous thanks to the popular comedy series. Honestly, I didn't know he existed in reality . Kuchugury is located 80 kilometers from Anapa, 40 kilometers from the city of Temryuk, 25 kilometers from Kerch.

In Kuchugury there is a sandy beach with fine golden sand and small shell rocks and the Azov Sea is always clean and shallow in this place. The water is warm and warms up well. Just right for small children.

The convenient location of the village allows you to reach the beach on foot from any point in no more than 15 minutes.

There is not much entertainment, but on the beach you can ride a banana boat or fly a parachute. Plus, a quiet place, relaxation, fresh fruit and freshly caught fish - what else is needed for a relaxing holiday with children. Not far from the sea in the center of the village there is an amusement park for children “Emelya”.

Housing is mainly in the private sector. But there are mini-hotels, small hotels, guest houses. From the names I remember the guest house “Svaty”. Prices, according to reviews, are quite affordable.

Peresyp village

A small village, pleasant for family holidays, is also located in the Temryuk area. Approximately 15 kilometers from the village of Kuchugury and 7 kilometers from the village of Golubitskaya. This is another great place to relax with children. Sandy and shell beaches on the Peresyp spit, shallow waters, warm and clear sea. Very close is the Lotus Valley, the healing lake “Blue Balka”.

Resort Primorsko-Akhtarsk

Another resort in the Krasnodar Territory on the shores of the Azov Sea. The city is located 150 kilometers from Krasnodar (there is an airport here, and there is also an airport in the city of Yeysk). In Primorsko-Akhtarsk itself there is a bus station, a railway station, and a pier.

Several days were spent choosing a vacation spot. And, although I really liked the resorts of the Temryuk region, I had to postpone these options for now, because they are located further away. And we don’t want the car trip to be very long and tiring. The closest resort of the Azov Sea to us was the city of Yeisk.

Yeysk is our choice

Yeysk is a southern port city in the northwestern part of the Krasnodar Territory with many parks, green alleys and shady squares and numerous beaches on the Yeisk Estuary and Taganrog Bay.

Yeisk also has plenty of children's entertainment:

  • Water park "Nemo" on the shore of Taganrog Bay on Primorskaya embankment
  • Dolphinarium (Schmidt St., 16/1)
  • Crocodile Canyon with amazing snakes, crocodiles, turtles (Schmidt St., 16/1)
  • Children's center "Bingo-Bongo" (Krasnaya St., 74/2), where you can have a very fun and organized time with children of different ages
  • Oceanarium "Shark Reef" (Schmidt St., 15/1).
  • Park named after Poddubny with more than 30 types of attractions. This is the oldest park in Kuban, which is located on the shore of Taganrog Bay.

In addition, Yeysk is one of the best mud resorts on the Azov-Black Sea coast, a healthy climate, shallow, well-warmed sea and sandy, shell and pebble beaches.

The resort is located at the base of the Yeisk Spit on a peninsula and is washed on three sides by the Sea of Azov. Yeysk is located 180 kilometers from Rostov-on-Don and 250 kilometers from Krasnodar.

You can get to Yeysk in different ways: by car, plane, or water transport.

The initial parameters were vacation during the peak tourist season (second half of July), accommodation - in budget hotels (2-3 stars), location - near the sea and beach area, meals - set lunches in inexpensive cafes, cost of an excursion popular in given location, and the cost of a ticket for public transport, as well as the cost from the railway station or airport to your place of residence (but only at public transport). According to these parameters, the city of Yeysk is among the top five budget beach holiday leaders. Here you can relax for 2140 rubles.

All this in general and in general, as well as the formed opinion based on studying a large number of reviews of those who had already vacationed in these places with children, put the final point in the choice. All that remained was to find suitable housing. We were counting on a budget of 12-14 thousand for 7 days for four: two adults and two children.

Preference was given to mini-hotels, guest houses and turnkey houses. I want to say that good options These dates were already, for the most part, booked. People took care of their upcoming summer vacation in advance. Therefore, they chose from what was left. Although, of course, sometimes the thought crept in: not to book anything, but to go “at random” and get your bearings on the spot. But we were traveling with children. Therefore, the surprise factor could play a bad joke on us in this case.

Choosing housing in Yeysk

Firstly, it was necessary to understand in which area it is better to choose. Because there is sea on all sides: from the east - the Yeisk Estuary, from the west - Taganrog Bay.

We focused on a calm, quiet holiday, so the following were important:

  • The sea is within walking distance
  • Sandy beach with good conditions for children
  • Small number of guests
  • Availability of any children's entertainment
  • Comfortable accommodation with all amenities.

I’ll say right away that on the first day I was simply confused by the abundance of offers and, after sitting for half a day, I still didn’t understand where and what to look for. There was a lot on offer different types housing - hotels and boarding houses, guest houses and recreation centers, mini-hotels, apartments and private houses.

In order to somehow streamline and narrow down the search area, I decided to understand for myself and try to figure out which area of the city has the most suitable conditions for us. And since the main condition is a good children's beach in the immediate vicinity, it was decided to start by exploring the beaches of Yeysk.

Beaches of Yeysk

As it turned out, there are several of them in the city and they are very diverse: sandy, pebble, shell, rocky and, most often, mixed (sand-shell and pebble-sand).

The main beaches are located on the Yeisk Spit: Central City Beach, Children's Beach, located opposite the Central Beach, Youth Beach, Kamenka Beach. There are also small individual beaches on the coast of the Yeisk estuary (the area of the second microdistrict).

To make it clearer, let’s look at each in more detail.

Central city beach

Stretched along the Taganrog Bay for approximately half a kilometer. It is considered (according to reviews) the most nice beach in the city. Clean, the bottom and shore are sandy, a gentle entrance, shallow depth at the entrance and a maximum depth of up to 1.5 meters. The water warms up well.

Lots of entertainment for adults and children. The beach is equipped with changing cabins, paid toilets, sun loungers and umbrellas are available for rent, and spreading trees provide natural shade. There is a place to eat.

The central city beach is divided into two parts: Central - from the side of the Taganrog Bay and Children's Beach from the side of the Yeisk Estuary. They are located across the street from each other.

Children's city beach

Its length is approximately 300 meters, not a very large coastal beach area. Sand and shell (mixed) shore. Shallow, the greatest depth is 1-1.5 meters. A lot of entertainment for children (trampolines, water slides, bananas, jet skis, tablets).

It is an ideal and completely safe place for children. Complete absence of waves. If there are no adults who like to swim in the depths, this is a perfectly suitable place to relax with children.

The central city beach, both for adults and for children, is, according to many vacationers, the best. The only drawback is that there are a lot of people there, and you need to get there early.

At the very end of the Yeisk Spit there is also Youth Beach (here is the maximum depth), but we will not talk about it, since its name speaks for itself.

Beaches of the Yeisk Estuary

Located in the waters of the Yeisk Estuary on the right side of the city in the form of small sections along coastline. According to reviews, the most popular sections of the beach are in the area of Nizhnesadovaya Street at the intersection with Pionerskaya, Plekhanova, Krasnaya, Barrikadnaya and Svobody streets.

The beaches that are located closer to the Central Beach are mostly small-pebble, while further along the coast they are sandy and shell-like. The entrance to the sea is gentle, level, the bottom is sand and silt, the maximum depth is up to 1 meter. These are quiet, calm beaches, but, according to reviews, not equipped (“wild beaches”).

Kamenka Beach

If we go down a little south of the Central Beach from the side of Taganrog Bay, we find ourselves on Kamenka Beach. It is a little south of the Yeisk port. The beach stretches for about a kilometer on the coast along the Taganrog Bay. The depth does not reach more than one and a half meters.

The coastal shore is heterogeneous: the sandy beach is mixed with areas covered with stones (apparently, this is why the beach got its name).

On the northern side of the beach, from the port to Rostovskaya Street, the shore is mostly sandy and comfortable. From Rostovskaya and further the beach becomes more and more rocky and gradually turns into pebbles.

Another children's beach - “Goat Beach”

This is the part of Kamenka beach that is located between the port and the water park. “Goat Beach” is ideal for families with small children (it is also called “children’s beach”), but it is located in the waters of Taganrog Bay south of the port. This is the shallowest (at the deepest point the water barely reaches the knee) sandy beach in the city. Its length is about 300 meters. There is a lot of sand, the water warms up well. Young children really like this beach. In addition, it is located next to the water park.

As far as I understand, “Goat Beach” is also called “Melyaki” Beach (probably because it has the shallowest sea in the city). Initially, I thought that these were two different beaches, but after comparing their descriptions, I decided that we were talking about the same children’s beach.

On Kamenka beach there are also other children's entertainment: an oceanarium and a dolphinarium. There are other advantages of this beach: few people, silence, tranquility, warm sea, magnificent sunsets that open from the Primorskaya embankment, shallow water almost everywhere, sandy islands formed as a result of low tides - a real creative workshop for young architects and builders of castles and palaces.

What I noticed: the sea in Yeisk is shallow. For us, this is a plus, but those who expect greater depth may be disappointed. And the water in the sea (judging by the description and reviews) is not transparent, but cloudy, due to the suspended particles of sand and silt mud present in it (by the way, beneficial for the human body). And in Yeisk there are no large dangerous waves or storms.

After analyzing all this information and reading a lot of reviews, I came to the conclusion that it is best to swim with children on Kamenka or on Central Beach. But since I wanted a beach that wasn’t too noisy and crowded, preference was given to housing on the side of Taganrog Bay in the area of Kamenka Beach.

It was in this area, or more precisely at the location of the children's beach "Melyaki" (or "Goat Beach") and the main children's entertainment, that the search for housing was concentrated (at the intersection of Shmidt, Morskaya, Kalinin, Oktyabrskaya streets from Nizhnesadovaya to Rostovskaya).

Yeysk hotels on the map:

There were all sorts of options to choose from: hotels and boarding houses, guest houses, apartments in high-rise buildings, turnkey houses and the private sector. But we wanted to stay in mini-hotels or guest houses.

After watching various options, the selection was made according to the following criteria: close to the sea (so that you can walk), so that the shore is sandy or sandy-shell, so that it is good for children to swim, so that there are entertainment centers nearby, good conditions accommodation with amenities, not a very large number of guests. We were also looking for the first floor, since the children are small.

And, after much debate and discussion, the choice was made. We stayed at a mini-hotel. I contacted its owner, after which an advance payment was made. The booking agreement is based on your word of honor. Now we are preparing for the trip and are looking forward to two weeks flying by and we will go on a trip with the children to the sea by car.
