A Jacuzzi should be connected indoors when the following conditions are met:

  1. All renovation and construction work in the bathroom must be completed.
  2. The approach to the source and structure of the jacuzzi must be accessible for carrying out repair or preventative procedures.
  3. There must be electrical wiring with grounded outlets.
  4. Presence of sewer and water supply networks.

For correct connection The following requirements must be met for the water supply network:

  1. When the device is operating, the water pressure should be 4-5 atm.

When installing and connecting a hydromassage installation circuit, it is necessary to ensure safe protection of hydraulic equipment, since it is expensive. Also, a special device must be installed on the bathroom to control pressure (reducer).

  1. For a Jacuzzi, special cleaning filters must be installed, since the nozzles of the installation are very sensitive to water with various impurities.
  2. When installing a bathtub on legs, its water-consuming devices must be located fairly close to the water supply system. Next, the height of our jacuzzi must be adjusted to the level using adjusting bolts. You can also install the device on a mounting frame.
  3. To avoid problems with your sewer system, you need to remember that the drainage pipe is located 10 centimeters lower than the drain of our installation.
  4. The Jacuzzi has a mixer that is connected to fixed systems and used using hoses. In this case, the distance between the bathtub and the wall is about 0.5 meters.
  5. We must not forget about the water supply connections, that is, cold and hot. They must have threaded water stopcocks.

When you connect a hot tub to electricity, you need to adhere to these basic rules:

  1. It is necessary to adhere to the rules of technical installations, and the presence of an electrician is also desirable.
  2. It is necessary to install an outlet that will be closed to prevent water from entering.

  1. The electrical outlet should be placed 30 centimeters on the wall from the side of your installation and 50 centimeters from the floor.
  2. To wire to your outlet, you need to use double-insulated wire with sections of 3x2.5 square meters. mm.
  3. To avoid power grid overloads, you can install an automatic system. Such a system will give you a guarantee that the electrical cable to your automatic system will be in a special corrugated tube.
  1. Do not operate the spa unless its outlets are grounded.
  2. Grounding is not done through plumbing, drainage and heating devices.
  3. If the bathtub is connected to the network, then repair and technical work are not carried out.
  4. The Jacuzzi cannot be used if the electrical cable is faulty or if there are grounding problems.

To avoid problems with electrical equipment and for reliable operation of the equipment, it is necessary to install voltage stabilizers that will protect the system from power surges.

To properly connect the hydromassage unit, follow these instructions:

  1. The connection must be permanent.
  2. A drainage drain is used, about 40-50 millimeters in diameter.
  3. The waste outlet must be installed according to the drawing design. The pipe can be built into the wall or under the floor, then the following rules follow:
    • If the drain is designed in the wall, then its span should be 2 centimeters.
    • The waste outlet should have a diameter of 40-50 millimeters.
    • When connecting drainage and drainage, it should be done with a corrugated tube.

By following all the rules for installing and connecting the bathtub, you can avoid problems with its breakdowns. It should be remembered that when connecting a hot tub to electricity, you must contact a specialist for advice.

Every year the demand for hydromassage baths (jacuzzi) is only growing. This is mainly due to the fact that hydromassage has a healing effect on the human body, strengthens the immune system and relieves nervous tension. The work associated with the installation and connection of such plumbing is quite complex, so it is better to entrust it to specialists. But if you are confident in your abilities, then you can try it yourself. Next, we will consider how to independently connect a bathtub with a hydromassage.

Choosing a Jacuzzi

The Jacuzzi has a hydromassage system, which consists of an electric pump, a water intake, a compressor and nozzles (Fig. 1). Using a pump, water is pumped out through the water intake hole and, passing through the compressor, is supplied under pressure to the hydromassage nozzles. They are designed in such a way that the water at their outlet is mixed with air, thereby enhancing the healing effects of such a massage.

Figure 1. Arrangement of a hydromassage bath.

When choosing a Jacuzzi, you should take into account that the nozzles may be different and installed in various places. The type of massage depends on this (for example, for the lower back or back). Some models are equipped with an aero compressor, which allows the use of turbo mode, which intensifies the flow of water mixed with air.

Expensive types of Jacuzzis are equipped with additional functions:

  • air massage;
  • aromatherapy;
  • ozone therapy;
  • chromotherapy.

These functions can be turned on and off as needed using controls, taps or buttons. They are controlled pneumatically, thereby achieving the best level of electrical safety. In a jacuzzi, the mixer is mounted directly on its frame. This differs from a hydromassage bathtub to conventional bathtubs, for which the faucets are mounted on the wall.

Preparation

Before purchasing a hot tub, you need to measure your bathroom. Based on the results obtained, a selection of plumbing products of appropriate dimensions is made. It must be taken into account that minimum dimensions the premises must correspond to the size of the bathtub with an addition of 1 m on each side. This will allow, if necessary, free access to all structural elements.

When buying a Jacuzzi, you need to take into account that such a product is quite heavy, so its installation is strongly recommended only in houses with reinforced concrete floors. It is important to take into account the size of the doorway so that the bathtub can pass through it freely.

It is necessary to install a jacuzzi in a room in which all repair work has been completed. This is a prerequisite, because otherwise, when carrying out repairs after installing the bathtub, its individual elements may be damaged. The room must be equipped with reliable electrical wiring hidden in the wall. One more an important condition proper installation is the presence of a working sewerage and water supply system, without which it will not be possible to use any plumbing equipment.

For successful installation, you also need to prepare the following tools:

  • tester;
  • level;
  • roulette;
  • pliers;
  • gas key;
  • screwdriver;

Connection to sewerage

Before connecting the Jacuzzi to the sewer system, it is necessary to adjust the height of the bowl using the adjustable legs and a building level. After this, you can proceed directly to connecting the plumbing product to all systems. If the sewer system in your house is made of plastic pipes, then the siphon must be connected to it with a special flexible pipe with a diameter of 40 mm. If the sewer pipeline has a diameter of 50 mm, then for a quality connection you will additionally need a special adapter with the same diameter.

The first step is to assemble the siphon according to the instructions included with it. Special attention attention should be paid to all sealing gaskets, which must be of proper quality and without visible defects. After this, attach the siphon to the bathtub and the sewer outlet. When tightening fasteners, you need to be very careful, as if you use excessive force, you can strip the threads.

Electrical connection

Figure 2. Wiring diagram for connecting the hot tub to the power supply.

You need to connect the Jacuzzi to the power supply taking into account the following rules:

  1. The connection must be made taking into account all technical safety rules for electrical installations. The electrical equipment of the hot tub operates from an alternating current network with a voltage of 220 V.
  2. The bathtub must be connected to a special outlet that can be used in high humidity conditions. The socket is installed on the wall 0.3 m from the floor and 0.5 m from the side of the jacuzzi.
  3. The connection to the socket is carried out with a separate cable with double insulation and a cross-section of at least 3x2.5 mm².
  4. To protect the electrical equipment of the jacuzzi from overloads and voltage surges, a 16 A circuit breaker and a residual current device are installed in a visible place outside the bathroom. It is recommended to look at the diagram for connecting the bath to the electrical network (Fig. 2).

In order not to violate safety rules, the following must be considered:

  • It is prohibited to use a socket without proper grounding;
  • it is prohibited to construct grounding through heating, water supply or sewerage equipment;
  • It is prohibited to operate the Jacuzzi if the insulating layer of the power cord is damaged, as well as if the grounding is faulty.

The importance of the bathroom in the life of any family is enormous - it is the place of relaxation and solitude after a hard day at work. And if you are a lover of quality relaxation, then you simply cannot do without a hydromassage bath (jacuzzi). However, before choosing any model, you need to familiarize yourself with the configurations and additional functions of the bathtubs.

What you need to know before installing a hot tub or jacuzzi

All hydromassage baths are designed the same and consist of the following basic elements:

  • pump;
  • water intake;
  • nozzles;
  • control system (pneumatic or electronic);

Using pumping equipment, water flows through the intake to the nozzles, in which a mixture of water and air is formed. The resulting mixture flows under pressure into the bath bowl. It is the type of nozzles that determines the type of massage: aero- or hydro-.

Aeromassage increases the oxygen saturation of water, which has a beneficial effect on the skin, muscle and circulatory systems of humans. Hydromassage can have both a relaxing and tonic effect, depending on the adjustment of the air-to-water ratio.

Nozzles can be, for example, bottom, side, for foot or back massage. Some whirlpool baths come with drainage system, thanks to this, the water circulates in the bowl without interruption. In addition, Jacuzzis can be equipped with additional accessories, with which you can enjoy music or your favorite movie. Additional functions also include therapeutic effects of light (chromotherapy), odors (aromatherapy) and oxygen (ozone therapy).

Premises requirements

Before installing a jacuzzi, you need to prepare the bathroom. Complete all repair work in the room, including wall cladding, and remove all construction debris.

It is very important that the finishing work is carried out taking into account the accessibility of the water supply, sewer and electrical networks, as well as the ability to remove the bath without compromising the integrity of the finishing materials.

It is also necessary to level the floor and ensure sufficient ventilation in the room where the hot tub will be located.

In accordance with the installation location, shape and size of the future bathtub, make eyeliner tap water to the mixer and sewer outlet, draw an electrical line and install a grounded outlet.

Sometimes a jacuzzi is placed in the courtyard of a private house. Buy a model with a special coating and find out how possible it is in the climate in which you live.

Requirements for water supply and sewerage, water quality and power supply

To connect the Jacuzzi pump you need:

  • electrical network with voltage 220V,
  • three-wire power cable,
  • circuit breaker,
  • residual current device,
  • grounding
  • voltage stabilizer (if desired).

Electrical wires must have a cross-section of at least 3 mm.

The water supply network to which the jacuzzi is connected must have a pressure of no more than 5 atmospheres and water without impurities, or water purifying filters must be installed on it.

It is advisable to install a pressure reducer.

The sewer system must have a drain with a hole diameter of 4 to 5 cm. These requirements will be discussed in more detail below, but now let’s focus on the installation itself.

Installation of jacuzzi and hydromassage bathtub

To avoid damage, it is recommended not to remove the bathtub protective film until installation is complete. When moving to its installation site, do not touch the pipes, nozzles, pump or other elements of the hydromassage system - this can lead to damage. You can only grab the supporting frame.

When installing the bathtub, you need to adjust the support legs so that its sides are horizontal. This can be easily checked using a building level.

Then you need to install a frame or brackets that will support the bowl, without them it will sag. By the way, by this criterion you can determine the quality of the bathtub itself - the more supports it requires, the less durable it itself is.

After installation, the space under the bathtub is closed decorative panels that come included. At the same time, the distance from the floor for ventilation of the hydromassage equipment is left uncovered. Usually it is 20-30 mm.

No need to seal the sides of the bathtub ceramic tiles, since otherwise you will not be able to dismantle it without damaging the wall cladding.

Connecting to the hot tub water supply

The technical parameters of the bath are designed for its operation in a water supply system with a pressure of 4-5 atm. However, for greater reliability, it is recommended to additionally install a pressure reducer.

Jacuzzi nozzles are very sensitive to the quality of incoming water, so a prerequisite for connection is the installation of coarse and fine filters. This will protect the expensive system from breakdown. After all, it is rare that a citizen of our country can boast of the quality of tap water.

It is better to place the pipes as close as possible to water consuming devices. In this case, it should be taken into account that they do not block access to the pipe and bathtub connections. This is very important if it is necessary to carry out an inspection or repair.

The drain of the hot tub is located above the sewer drain hole at a distance of approximately 10 cm.

Installing a mixer and connecting to the water supply for a jacuzzi is no different from their installation and connection for conventional baths. The only difference is that the mixers for hydromassage baths are installed directly on the baths themselves, and not on the walls, like with simple ones. The drain-overflow system on such bathtubs is usually made semi-automatic: the drain valve is opened using a handle located on the overflow hole.

When the water reaches a critical level, it begins to overflow through the drain hole, which is located below the handle. The connection itself is made using a flexible water supply. The length is taken taking into account the possible movement of the bathtub relative to the wall at a distance of at least half a meter.

Faucets with a 1/2″ diameter thread are installed at the outlet of the water supply pipes. When carrying out work, it is important to monitor the tightness of the connections, using gaskets if necessary.

Power connection

As you know, water is a conductor of current, so connecting the power supply when installing hydromassage baths is the most important job and requires special care, skill and strict adherence to electrical safety requirements.

Before installation, it is necessary to de-energize the area where the work will be carried out. The socket for connecting the Jacuzzi must be located in such a way as to prevent water from entering it. It’s better to completely remove it from the bathroom. In addition, it must have a ground connection (the so-called “Euro socket”).

The hydromassage bath may also include a switch, through which you can also make a connection. It must be installed with the same requirements as the outlet and must also be grounded.

The socket (or switch) is connected to the electrical panel through a residual current device and a circuit breaker. To connect to the electrical network, a three-core cable with three colored wires is used.

A yellow and green wire means ground, a bluish wire means zero, and a red, brown or white wire means phase. These colors are fixed by the international standard, so there is no confusion.

When connecting Jacuzzi cables to power wires, ground must be connected to ground, phase to phase, and zero to zero.

To protect against sudden voltage surges, which can cause failure of the Jacuzzi electrics, it is recommended to install voltage stabilizers.

Connecting the hot tub to the sewer system

To connect a hot tub to sewer lines, a drain with a hole diameter of 4-5 cm is used. Convenient if sewer pipe will be located in the floor or wall. In the latter case, the distance from the floor should not be more than two centimeters.

At the final stage, the siphon from the jacuzzi is connected to the drain with a corrugated pipe. After connecting the bath to the communications, it is necessary to check all connections for leaks. To do this, fill the bowl with water and carefully inspect the joints. Then you need to seal the junction of the jacuzzi to the walls. The water from the bowl is drained only after the sealant has hardened.

After graduation installation work you need to fill the bowl with water so that the hydromassage jets are below its level, and activate them by pressing the power button on the remote control.

The water pressure and its direction are regulated by the nozzles. Before turning on the equipment, it would be a good idea to check their opening. To do this, the nozzles must be turned counterclockwise to the very end. To avoid splashing water into the bathroom, the nozzle tips should be directed downward.

The Jacuzzi pump should not operate for a long time without water circulation - this can lead to overheating and leakage of the pump shaft. If you purchased a bathtub with lighting, then you cannot turn it on when the bowl is empty. The fact is that water is a cooling element and does not allow the lamp to overheat. Turning on the backlight of a bathtub in which there is no water can cause burns to the skin of a person’s body, as well as deformation of the bathtub itself.

If problems arise during operation, read our article on hot tub and jacuzzi repair. Before purchasing, we also advise you to find out about the problems that may arise in order to make right choice hydromassage bath.

The Jacuzzi hydromassage system is designed for water temperatures not exceeding +50°C.

Care

In order for your whirlpool bath to serve you for a long time, you need to follow certain rules.

What to wash with acrylic bath? For cleaning it, all abrasive cleaning products, as well as products containing acid, alkali, chlorine and other aggressive chemical elements are strictly prohibited.

There is also no need to bathe pets or place hard objects, especially those with sharp edges, in it. All this can lead to surface damage.

For care, use only soft sponges or cloths and gel-based cleaning products. To remove water deposits, you can use folk remedies. For example, you can moisten a sponge with a 3% solution of acetic acid or citric acid.

If, however, small scratches have formed on the surface of your bathtub, you can clean them with sandpaper with the finest grains (M9800-1200), and then apply car polishing paste to restore the shine.

To prevent the appearance of rust stains, the bathtub should be wiped dry with a clean, dry cloth after each use. It is better if it is linen; woolen fabrics are not recommended.

Once every one or two months, the hydromassage bath needs disinfection. To do this, add 1 cup of disinfectant, which can be purchased at bath stores, to the filled bathtub and turn on the pump for 2 minutes. This time is enough to fill all zones of the system with water. Then the hydromassage must be turned off and the water in the jacuzzi drained after 20 minutes. During this time, the pipeline system will be cleared of microorganisms. After a repeated cycle of pouring and draining water into the bowl, the bathtub can be used.

If you have “hard” water, then the hydromassage bathtub system requires cleaning at least twice a year. The procedure is as follows:

  • Fill the bowl with water at a temperature of +40°C, pour detergent into it (about 2 grams of detergent per liter of water) and turn on the pump for a short time;
  • turn off the pump and drain the water from the bowl;
  • fill the bowl this time with cold water and turn on the pumping equipment for 2 minutes;
  • turn off the pump, drain the water, and wash the Jacuzzi as usual.

It is not recommended to carry out the cleaning and disinfection procedure together, since mixing the two liquids can lead to failure of the hydromassage equipment.

As you can see, there is nothing complicated. Whether you call a specialist or install the bath yourself is up to you to decide. I hope this article will help you make the right choice.

A hot tub is no longer a luxury item, but rather a means of relaxation and relaxation. While in a bubble bath, you relax not only your body, but also your soul. Many people do not install a jacuzzi, fearing that it is too complex and expensive way to relax. True, there is another way - to build a jacuzzi with your own hands. There is nothing complicated about connecting a jacuzzi to electricity and water. To install your hot tub correctly, follow the tips listed below.

Preparing for installation

The first thing you need to do before purchasing a bathroom bowl is to decide on the location. Of course, without deciding which bowl you want, it will be difficult for you to choose a place. Then you need to purchase all the tools that will be needed when installing the bathtub, as well as the bathtub itself.

By appearance and the design of Jacuzzis can be different - they can be oval, rectangular, square, conical, two-tiered, elliptical, like regular bathtubs.

To install a jacuzzi you will need:

  • cement;
  • metal pipes of different diameters;
  • hammer;
  • liquid nails;
  • compressor;
  • two spatulas of different sizes;
  • tiles (or tiles depending on what you plan to put in the bathroom);
  • Bulgarian.

It is best to install a Jacuzzi during the renovation stage. Installation of a jacuzzi can be done in two ways. The first method is suitable only for private houses, and the second - for apartments and houses. Let's start with the first method.

Important! Before installing a jacuzzi, obtain permission to connect a hot tub, since this type of massager consumes a lot of electricity. Not always electrical wiring can withstand such high voltage in homes. Therefore, before installing a bathroom, it is better to change all the wiring in the house.

Preparing the bathroom for installation

Your bathroom should be a little different from other rooms, not only in that it is a bathroom, but also in some construction nuances. So, the threshold in the bathroom should be at least 4-6 cm, this is necessary so that if the bathtub overflows, the water remains in the room and does not leak further around the house. First of all, install sewerage and electricity to the installation site of the hydromassage. Then install filters in the pipes, since the tap water is not very clean, and the nozzles in the massage bathtub have increased sensitivity to impurities contained in water. It is better if you install a multi-stage water filtration system, this will help keep your bathtub in perfect condition for a long time. for a long time. Before installing the bathtub, make sure that your floors are perfectly waterproofed and do not have the slightest cracks, and that all tile seams are thoroughly sanded and treated with a water-repellent compound. Safety first! Of course, the ideal installation of a jacuzzi is the absence of contact between the bath and the walls and the location of all communications under the floor. If the square footage of the bathroom allows, then install the bathtub this way.

Installation

So, the bathtub has been purchased, the necessary tools have been collected, let’s begin installation. The first stage of installation is the location of the pipes. Remember that the pipes should be located as close to the bathroom as possible. This is necessary not only for convenience, but also to prevent possible pipe bursts.

Important! Access to the junction of the pipes and the Jacuzzi should be as accessible as possible so that you can move the bowl away at any time and, if necessary, disconnect the bathtub.

Make a hole in the floor of the desired size. To calculate its diameter, you need to determine how many people will be in the bath at the same time. Let's give an example: for two people to be in the bathtub, the hole under the bathtub must be at least 50 cm deep, and the area occupied by the bathtub will be at least 3 m2. When installing a bathtub, it is necessary to observe not only the parameters regarding the depth of the sewer and other openings, but also the parameters regarding other objects in the room. What should be the distance from the walls to the hydromassage depends on its shape. You can find this information in the instruction manual.

After installing the water filters, run the hose that came with the bathtub to the supply system cold water. If such a hose is not included in the components, you can purchase it at a plumbing store; such hoses are usually inexpensive. Some plumbers advise placing a pressure reducer on the bathtub itself. It is needed to monitor changes in pressure in the pipes. The optimal pressure for a hydromassage is 3.5-4 atmospheres, but there is not always such pressure in the pipes. Therefore, in order not to spoil the jacuzzi, it is necessary to monitor the pressure level in the pipes using a reducer.

Next, you need to check the operation of the internal hoses of the hydromassage and overflow systems. Unfortunately, it is impossible to test these systems in a store. All hoses must be in place and properly secured. If they are even a little loose, tighten them using the necessary tools.

The next stage is the installation of a drain and overflow system. In Jacuzzi bathtubs, such a system is semi-automatic; therefore, the hose coming from the drain-overflow holes is connected to the sewer using special fasteners - fittings.

Important! When installing drain pipes, it is necessary to maintain an angle so that water can freely flow into the sewer. So, the drain pipe should be 9-13 centimeters higher than the sewer pipe.

After connecting the bathtub to the sewer, we connect it to the water supply system. The technology is the same as when connecting a regular bath. After installing the bathtub, place the compressor. It is most convenient to place it under the bathtub, pouring concrete around the compressor. There is no need to fill the compressor itself with concrete. To do this, punch a hole in the floor of a size suitable for the compressor. To make access to the device convenient, make a cover or a small canopy over the compressor. The option with punching the floor is suitable exclusively for a private home.

For an apartment, installing a bathtub with the compressor located not in the floor, but behind the bathtub, is suitable.

After connecting the bathtub to the sewerage and water supply system, we connect the hydromassage to the electrical network. Here you need to be very careful and protect yourself as much as possible by insulating all wires. The outlet must be grounded, just like the hot tub cable. It is also necessary to place the cable as far as possible from water. As a rule, it is placed on the wall at a height of 24-30 cm from the floor level. When placing lamps, floor lamps and other light sources around the bathtub, remember that the distance from electrical appliances to the bathtub should be at least 65-70 cm.

Important! Be sure to place the on/off switch close to the bathtub.

The bathtub must be installed on mounting feet, which are included in the kit. If the bathtub is installed correctly, it will not vibrate or wobble during use. In order to correctly align the bathtub, use a building level.

Once you have properly installed the hot tub, removed the shipping bolts, and removed all foam and other impact protection devices, you can check the hot tub. To do this, turn on the jacuzzi and take a test sample of water; 20 centimeters will be enough. Try all the functions described in the instructions. Keep a close eye on the bathroom. If something in its work seems suspicious to you - extraneous noise or the absence of bubbles on one of the sides, call a specialist.

To see how to properly install a jacuzzi, we offer you a video on installing a hot tub:

Installing a hot tub, which is also called a “jacuzzi,” is not as easy as it seems at first glance. Compared to conventional bathtubs, this sanitary ware has its own characteristics.

The site will tell you how to properly install a hot tub.

What details should you consider when choosing a jacuzzi?

The Jacuzzi has a hydromassage system. A pump, a water intake, a nozzle - that’s what this system consists of.

Water is pumped out through a water intake device, after which it flows through hoses and enters the hydromassage nozzles under pressure. The nozzles are designed in such a way that water, mixed in them, comes out with air. This allows you to increase the impact of air jets.

Before installing a hot tub, it is necessary to take into account the fact that the jets are different types. This will be reflected in the type of massage, which can be in the back or lumbar area.

There are Jacuzzis equipped with an aero compressor. It allows you to activate the turbo mode, which allows you to intensify the jet due to greater air supply.

There are also options with the possibility of air massage. This happens due to special nozzles that are located at the bottom of the jacuzzi. Thanks to this massage, the muscles are toned.

Additional options inherent in expensive bathtub models:

  • chromotherapy - light treatment;
  • ozone therapy - treatment with oxygen;
  • aromatherapy is the effect of various odors on the body.

All these functions can be turned on or off, which is done using buttons, levers or taps. The control is pneumatic, which eliminates the dangerous effects of electricity.

The mixer in the jacuzzi is installed directly on the bathtub. This is what distinguishes hydromassage baths from their counterparts, where the taps are attached to the wall.

Semi-automatic drain and overflow. At the overflow hole there is usually a handle that opens the drain valve. If the water reaches the overflow level, it will simply flow into the hole without reaching the handle.

The last thing to note before installing a hot tub is that some models come with drainage. Thanks to this system, water circulates uninterruptedly in the bowl.

Installing a hot tub

  • The pressure in the water supply system, which is necessary for the normal operation of the jacuzzi, is 4\5 atmospheres. As usual, higher than this value is not achieved in our networks. However, it is better to play it safe and protect your expensive equipment. To do this, you need to install a reducer on the bathtub.
  • Filters for water purification are also required for installation, since the water in our pipes does not have a particular frequency and contains many impurities. Jets can quickly become clogged if your bathtub is not equipped with a good filtration system.
  • When installing a whirlpool bath, it is recommended that when installing pipes in the bathtub, the water supply pipes should be located close to the devices that consume water. The area where the hot tub and pipes connect should also be clear, which will make work easier if you need to disconnect the tub or make repairs.
  • The bathtub bowl must be placed on legs strictly level, which can be achieved using adjusting bolts. There are cases when the bathtub is installed on a special frame.
  • The drain must be located above the sewer pipe. If you install a hydromassage bathtub yourself, then this figure should be at least 10 cm. In general, the drainage system is installed in the same way as with other types of bathtubs.
  • Baths of this type are connected to the water supply system in the same way as ordinary plumbing. The connection points must be sealed and sealed using gaskets.

Connecting the bath to electricity

On at this stage it is necessary to be as precise and responsible as possible, since water is an excellent conductor of current. In this regard, it is necessary to carefully handle all elements of the hydromassage bath that come into contact with water.

The area where electrical work is carried out must be completely de-energized. The switch or electrical panel must be turned off during work.

As the instructions say, the whirlpool bath must be connected to the mains with a three-wire cable.

Installation will be convenient and simple both in an apartment and in a private house due to the fact that the cables have a uniform marking, which is accepted all over the world.

Blue color is zero, red, brown or white is phase, and yellow-green is ground. Thanks to this, it is quite difficult to make a mistake.
